Founding Account Executive

Early Stage Β· San Francisco (or Remote)

We're looking to hire our first Founding Account Executive who is hungry, competitive, and ready to own a book of revenue from day one. This is a quota-carrying, high-impact sales role β€” you'll drive new business, close deals, and grow existing accounts, with a growth path toward leading revenue operations as the team scales. If you love the hunt, thrive on hitting (and beating) numbers, and want your work to directly determine the company's trajectory, this role is for you.

You'll be the person clients trust to understand their goals and the person internally who turns that trust into signed contracts and expanding revenue.

Quander values curiosity, ownership, and a bias toward action, offering employees the chance to shape both our go-to-market motion and the broader AI ecosystem.

What You'll Do

You'll spend most of your time selling β€” prospecting, running the sales cycle, and closing β€” with account growth, light GTM support, and content distribution rounding out the role.

New Business & Sales (the core of the role). Own a quota and be accountable for hitting it. Build and manage a pipeline of qualified prospects through outbound prospecting, inbound follow-up, and your own network. Run the full sales cycle β€” discovery, demo/pitch, proposal, negotiation, and close. Develop a sharp point of view on prospect needs and tailor pitches to their goals. Negotiate pricing and contract terms in line with company guidelines. Keep pipeline and forecast data current and accurate in the CRM. Represent Quander's offering with authority in every conversation, from first touch to signature.

Account Growth & Expansion. Own the ongoing relationship for closed accounts, with an eye toward upsell, cross-sell, and renewal β€” not day-to-day service delivery. Proactively identify expansion opportunities by staying close to client goals, usage, and results. Monitor account health and flag risk early, looping in the right internal partner before it becomes a churn problem. Track account performance and tie it back to revenue outcomes you can point to in your pipeline.

GTM & Ops Support. Partner with creative/production and operations to make sure what you sold gets delivered on time and on-brief β€” you're the client's advocate internally, not the production manager. Keep deal and account information clean and up to date so leadership has real visibility into pipeline and revenue. Flag recurring objections, pricing friction, or process gaps to leadership and help shape fixes to the sales motion.

Content Distribution. Support distribution of client and company content where it helps move deals or accounts forward β€” sharing results, case studies, and proof points with prospects and clients at the right moments in the sales cycle.

Product & Process Improvement. Bring a sales-informed perspective to what's working and what isn't across the GTM motion. If something in the sales process, handoff, or client experience is costing you deals or time, speak up with a fix, not just a complaint.

Who You Are

Competitive. You're motivated by hitting numbers and want to be measured on results.

Proactive. You don't wait for leads to land in your lap β€” you go find them.

Hungry to Learn. You approach every deal, win or loss, as a chance to sharpen your pitch.

Ownership Mentality. You treat your pipeline and your accounts like your own business.

Go-Getter. You move fast, take initiative, and bring energy to every call.

Solution-Oriented. When a deal stalls, you show up with a plan to unstick it.

Excellent Communicator. You're clear, confident, and persuasive β€” on a cold call, in a negotiation, or in a tough client conversation.

Multi-Deal Manager. You juggle multiple opportunities and accounts at different stages without losing track of any of them.

Time Management Pro. You prioritize the deals and accounts that move the needle and don't let the rest distract you.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in a quota-carrying sales, business development, or account executive role (agency, SaaS, or e-commerce preferred)

  • Track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets, or strong transferable experience (e.g., agency new business, high-stakes client pitching)

  • Comfortable owning a full sales cycle, including negotiation and closing

  • Strong proficiency with CRM and pipeline management tools

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable with data and able to translate performance reports into a sales narrative

  • Experience working in a startup or fast-growing company is a strong plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: up to $120,000 (depending on experience), plus uncapped commission/OTE

  • Meaningful equity

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • Snacks and drinks at the office
