About Daptic
Daptic is building the future of regulatory intelligence, with the mission to empower global manufacturers to navigate complex regulations seamlessly and accelerate the global launch of physical products.
With government regulations and standards becoming increasingly complex, product delays and innovation roadblocks are more common than ever. Daptic automates the identification and analysis of relevant regulations, standards, and product requirements, allowing R&D teams to focus on what they do best: creating groundbreaking products within automotive, aerospace, construction, consumer electronics, energy, medicine and healthcare, and beyond.
Currently, with a small focused team, we’re proud to be supporting the development of products used by over 100 million people worldwide.
We’ve secured over $22M in total funding from Canvas Ventures, IA Ventures, 8VC, and other institutional investors who believe in our vision to revolutionize product development.
The Role
Our customer base has grown more than 10x in the past year, and we’re hiring Forward Deployed Regulatory Engineers (FDREs) to work directly alongside those customers. You’ll lead the onboarding that turns a trial into a signed deal of confident daily users, configure the platform around how each customer actually works, and serve as their direct domain point of contact. You’ll work with regulatory and compliance leaders at some of the world’s largest manufacturers, and you’ll be the person they call when they want to get more out of Daptic.
Most of the teams we work with track their regulatory obligations in spreadsheets, lean on outside consultants, and fall back on institutional knowledge. Many of them are adopting AI for the first time. That makes a large part of the job translation: understanding how a compliance team works today, showing them what changes with Daptic in place, and staying with them until the new way of working sticks. Your north star is to turn some of the most respected regulatory teams in the world into engaged users who renew and expand, and to bring what you learn from them straight back into how we build.
Core Responsibilities
Lead Onboarding and Deployment
Own onboarding and implementation for new customers, turning a signed deal into an engaged, confident user base and setting the foundation for long-term retention and expansion.
Configure the platform around each customer’s product portfolio, target markets, and team structure, so every user sees the regulatory updates that matter to them.
Guide teams through one of the biggest shifts in how regulatory work gets done, showing them in concrete terms how the platform saves hours on monitoring and catches requirements that manual review misses.
Partner with the Account Executive (AE) and Solutions Engineer (SE) during trials, bringing the regulatory depth that helps customers see the platform in the context of their own work.
Be the Customer’s Regulatory Partner
Act as part consultant, part colleague, and part peer, learning a customer’s regulatory processes deeply and identifying high-value opportunities to expand their use of Daptic.
Serve as the customer’s direct point of contact after the sale, diagnosing issues, resolving them quickly, and keeping the relationship strong.
Spot risks and expansion opportunities early and act on them, protecting renewals and unlocking growth before anyone asks you to.
Bring the Field Back Into the Product
Serve as the critical link between customers and Daptic, surfacing signal from the front lines to Product, Engineering, GTM, and leadership to directly shape the roadmap.
Identify reusable patterns across deployments and build them into a deployment playbook, so each engagement makes the next one faster and smoother.
Build and contribute to onboarding guides, training materials, and configuration templates that make the function repeatable.
What We’re Looking For
Requirements
2-5+ years of regulatory or compliance experience inside the product compliance, certification, or homologation team of a global manufacturer or OEM launching complex products in diverse markets.
A deep understanding of how regulated industries operate, where the hard problems live, and what “compliant” really requires day to day.
An engineer’s way of thinking. You are not a software engineer, but you break messy problems into systems and processes, look for repeatable solutions, and have the technical fluency to configure and deploy software and speak credibly with technical stakeholders.
A natural relationship-builder who earns trust with sophisticated enterprise stakeholders and is comfortable being the face of Daptic to the world’s largest manufacturers.
Strong commercial instincts. You can read an account, spot opportunity and risk, and drive toward measurable results.
Available to work in our office in New York City at least 4 days a week.
Open to regular travel to customer sites as required to support business needs.
Bonus
Prior experience deploying or implementing software in a regulated industry (biomedical, energy, financial services, life sciences, manufacturing, etc.).
Hands-on use of AI tools to speed up real regulatory work.
A second language relevant to our global customer base.
Experience as an early GTM or forward deployed hire, building process rather than inheriting it.
What We Value
You bring structure to unstructured problems. Given an open-ended question with no obvious frame, you build one and work from it.
Strong attention to detail and a “110% mindset” in all tasks.
Ability to translate complex regulatory and product value into clear outcomes for both technical and executive audiences.
Exceptional communication skills, written, verbal, and visual, for both internal and customer-facing audiences.
A proven ability to ramp fast on unfamiliar material. Our customers work across topics like safety, emissions, cyber, data privacy, and restricted substances, and across many industries.
Comfort managing multiple customers and projects simultaneously, with an ability to quickly switch contexts.
Experience thriving in unstructured environments, demonstrating adaptability and initiative.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals in a fast-paced, technical environment.
Why you’ll love working at Daptic

Some other notes

100% healthcare coverage (Medical, Dental & Vision). Gym membership, and unlimited PTO round out the comp plan.
