Position Summary

We are seeking a technically strongForward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work closely with engineering teams, translate architectural direction and product requirements into implementable solutions, and ensure successful delivery of software capabilities.

The FDE will collaborate with the Lead Developer, offshore development team, Product Owner, and architecture stakeholders to define technical direction, clarify requirements, resolve implementation challenges, and maintain alignment with engineering standards.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise, architectural understanding, hands-on problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Architecture and Solution Design

• Translate business and product requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
• Define architectural direction, service boundaries, integration patterns, and API contracts.
• Ensure solutions align with established engineering standards and platform constraints.
• Collaborate with developers to evaluate technical trade-offs and implementation approaches.
• Identify architectural risks, dependencies, and technical challenges early.

Engineering Collaboration

• Work closely with the Lead Developer to communicate architectural decisions and technical requirements.
• Provide technical context, design documentation, and implementation guidance to offshore development teams.
• Clarify requirements and resolve technical blockers during development.
• Coordinate with QA, DevOps, architecture, and product teams to support end-to-end delivery.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain clear technical documentation.

Backend Development and API Integration

• Provide technical guidance on Python-based backend services using FastAPI or Flask.
• Support REST API design, OpenAPI 3.0+, contract-first development, and API versioning.
• Guide microservices design, service decomposition, and shared library development.
• Support asynchronous processing, service-to-service communication, and integration patterns.
• Help maintain API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and related authentication mechanisms.

Cloud, Infrastructure, and Production Support

• Collaborate with engineering teams on containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Support CI/CD practices, deployment readiness, and environment configuration.
• Help establish monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, and operational health standards.
• Participate in troubleshooting production issues, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Promote automated testing, performance validation, and reliable release practices.

Delivery and Stakeholder Management

• Work with Product Owners and engineering leads to clarify scope, priorities, and acceptance criteria.
• Communicate technical decisions, dependencies, and risks to relevant stakeholders.
• Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery coordination.
• Ensure offshore implementation aligns with the intended architecture and product requirements.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong software engineering and solution architecture experience.
• Python backend development, preferably FastAPI and Flask.
• REST APIs, OpenAPI specifications, and API integration.
• Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Database and data integration experience, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Authentication and API security concepts, including OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
• Strong debugging, technical documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience collaborating with distributed engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with offshore and geographically distributed development teams.
• Familiarity with Node.js, React, and micro-frontend architecture.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, Helm, Datadog, and observability tools.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and Kafka.
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and C4 architecture documentation.
• Exposure to telecom/ISP provisioning, network automation, or enterprise IPAM platforms.
• Strong stakeholder communication and technical leadership capabilities.
