FortiGate Firewall

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and supportFortiGate, Palo Alto and Cisco Meraki firewalls.
• Perform L2/L3 troubleshooting for firewall, routing, NAT, VPN and connectivity-related incidents.
• Manage firewall security policies, objects, address groups, NAT policies and routing configurations.
• Troubleshoot site-to-site IPsec VPN and remote-access VPN connectivity.
• Analyze firewall logs, traffic flows and security events to identify root causes.
• Perform approved firewall configuration changes following established change-management processes.
• Support firewall firmware upgrades, patching and lifecycle-management activities.
• Ensure firewall devices are properly monitored and configurations comply with operational/security standards.
• Coordinate hardware replacement/RMA and engage OEM/TAC teams for complex issues.

• Strong hands-on experience with FortiGate/FortiOS administration and troubleshooting.
• Support firewall policies, NAT, routing, HA, VPN and security profiles.
• Administer and troubleshootFortiGate SD-WAN.
• Troubleshoot WAN connectivity, path-selection and underlying ISP/service-provider issues.
• Maintain configuration and firmware compliance.
• Work with service providers/OEM support for hardware, WAN and ISP-related incidents.

• Administer and troubleshoot Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
• Support security/NAT policies, interfaces, zones, routing, VPN and HA.
• Perform traffic and system-log analysis for incident troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot packet flow and application connectivity issues.
• Support firmware upgrades and security-compliance activities.
• Support network segmentation and firewall migration/change activities where required.

• Administer and troubleshootCisco Meraki MX firewalls and Meraki SD-WAN.
• Manage WAN connectivity and troubleshoot site connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot VPN/site-to-site tunnel issues.
• Maintain configurations, monitoring and firmware compliance.
• Support device replacement and coordinate OEM cases where necessary.

Incident & Operational Support

• Handle daily network/security incidents, service requests and operational activities.
• Take technical ownership of L2/L3 firewall and SD-WAN incidents.
• Perform systematic troubleshooting and isolate whether an issue relates to firewall policy, routing, VPN, WAN/ISP, SD-WAN or another network component.
• Support critical/P1/P2 incidents and participate in major-incident troubleshooting.
• Perform health checks and preventive operational activities.
• Work with network, application, infrastructure, cloud and security teams for cross-domain incidents.
• Engage OEM/TAC and third-party service providers when required.
• Maintain troubleshooting documentation, SOPs and operational runbooks.
