Job Responsibilities:
Â
- Provides secretarial support including typing, composing and proofreading, and transcribing correspondence. Obtains journal articles as needed.
- Answers telephone, screens calls, refers callers/visitors to appropriate individuals.
- Processes incoming and outgoing mail. Opens, sorts, and prioritizes correspondence. Makes copies as needed.
- Maintains Outlook calendar for meetings, and makes travel arrangements for national meetings.Â
- Assists with the preparation of materials, agendas, notes and handouts, including help to organize faculty retreats under the direction of the chair and various faculty.
- Assists with itineraries and on-site support for both Visiting Professors and faculty and trainee candidates.
- Maintains files and equipment. Order office supplies.
- Assists other staff as requested.
- Participates in educational activities and programs.
- Serves as fellowship coordinator for two small fellowships, Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
- Helps the Fellowship Program Directors closely follow the RRC requirements for each fellowship to ensure no violations and continued accreditation.
- Supports the physician-fellows.
- Performs financial analyses for individual faculty and the department as a whole at the discretion of the chair or DA as needed.
- Supports all faculty in obtaining billing and coding information as needed/ requested.
- Must be interested, attentive and wanting to help faculty in the department achieve the highest level possible.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested
