Summary of Essential Duties
The Fleet Engineeranalyzes deficiencies, develops cost effective and applicable corrective action plans to correct the deficiencies, and performs follow-up evaluations to verify that those corrections have taken place and have been effective.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop engineering responses to fleet performance, reliability and safety issues
- Review, prioritize, implement, and track prevention strategies (process improvements).
- Review Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins
- Develop cost effective correction action plans to address operational consequences and reduce the failure rates of the systems that are causing delays/cancellations giving high priority to safety and economic consequences that affect reliability.
- Consistently strive to:
- Reduce mechanical failures
- Reduce delays and aircraft downtime
- Reduce human errors
- Reduce accidents and incidents
- Reduce repeat discrepancies
- Enhance troubleshooting techniques
- Enhance reliability
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications

Be at least 23 years of age.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
-
Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
-
Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
-
Must have experience and be highly proficient in cloud-based accounting systems as well as Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, and related software.

Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal history records check.

Must understand, read, and write English.

0-3 years in Engineering or Aircraft Maintenance

Ability to read and interpret FAA regulations, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation in English

Understanding of Aircraft Maintenance Programs, MPD’s, STC’s, and ICA’s
-
Knowledge of Maintenance & Engineering systems (such as TRAX or eMRO) is preferred.

Analytical skills to evaluate findings and perform root cause analysis

Skilled at showing cost/benefits and project payback to proposed changes and/or modifications.Â

Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and irregular shifts as operational needs dictate.
