An established healthcare organization is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to manage property, plant, and equipment, including medical equipment, facilities, and construction projects. This role supports month-end close, audit readiness, and regulatory reporting in a healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger
- Record capital additions, disposals, transfers, and impairments, including high-value medical equipment
- Calculate and post monthly depreciation and amortization
- Manage construction-in-progress accounts for facility expansions and renovations
- Track leased assets in compliance with ASC 842
- Support cost report preparation with depreciation schedules and asset data
- Perform periodic physical inventories and asset tagging
- Prepare audit-ready fixed asset roll-forward schedules
- Collaborate with Facilities, Clinical Engineering, and IT on asset tracking
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or a regulated industry
- 5+ years and CPA preferred, along with experience in construction accounting and healthcare ERP systems (Workday, Infor/Lawson, Oracle, or SAP)
