- Deck (anchoring & mooring) machinery (coordination with Chief Off.)
- Operating systems for accommodation/stores handling platforms, hoists, ladders
- Operating systems for side/shell doors and all watertight doors
- Operating systems for pools, whirlpools, and spas
- Lifeboat propulsion systems
- Davit structures and winches (coordination with Chief Off.)
- Galley, pantry, bar and service station equipment (including proper operation of backflow preventers and all other USPHS required equipment)
- Laundry equipment and vents (main, Guest and Crew)
- All sewage handling equipment outside the Engine Room
- Elevator mechanical equipment (assist Electricians as needed)
- CO2 systems (assist Chief Officer Safety as needed)
- Outside and inside structural repairs (except for Engine Room spaces)
- Hotel plumbing, fresh/saltwater and potable water distribution services
- Waste management plant (wet and dry) excluding the incinerator
- HVAC Systems(includes compressors, chilled water, sea water cooling, heating)
- Provision Refrigeration Plant
- Inventory control of spares & stores for assigned systems (req. in AMOS)
- Compile planned work lists and report work done on AMOS (do separate list for repairs etc. that can only be done during dry or wet dock)
- Oversee proper response to and closeout of Espresso work orders for areas of responsibility.
- Sees that personnel files for the positions under them in the chain of command are maintained (working with HR Manager)
- Emergency Duties as specified in the ship’s Assembly / Emergency Function Plan
Additional Information
This is a SHIPBOARD role.You must:
- Be genuinely interested in a career at sea and willing to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel
- Be willing to follow and perform safety role, emergency responsibilities, and associated responsibilities as specified in the ship Assembly Plan
- Be willing to uphold the general safety management responsibilities as specified in the Safety Management System in areas and operations under their control
- If applicable, be willing to share a confined cabin with other crew members and appreciative of working and living in a multicultural environment that has strict rules and regulations
- Have a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (DCL will provide you with documents to obtain this)
- Complete a pre-employment medical
- Obtain a criminal background check
- Bring approved work shoes
