About the Role

Community Talent Partners is conducting a search on behalf of a client for aProduction Supervisor (2nd Shift) to lead and support a high-performance production team in afast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. This critical leadership position upholds asafety-first culture, emphasizescontinuous improvement, and modelsservant leadership to cultivate an engaged, motivated workforce.

This position is based inRipon, Wisconsin and operates on2nd shift (Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:00 AM) with occasional overtime on Fridays from1:00 PM–9:00 PM.


Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance Leadership

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving safety standards and regulations.

  • Implement and enforce company safety policies and proper use of PPE (gloves, eye protection, etc.).

  • Promote ergonomic best practices to reduce strain and injury.

  • Encourage employees to report safety concerns and conduct regular safety audits of work areas and equipment.

Servant Leadership & Team Engagement

  • Lead with a servant leadership mindset by coaching, mentoring, and empowering team members.

  • Promote respectful treatment and inclusivity in all discussions and decisions.

  • Build a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous learning.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues and partner with union stewards when necessary.

Production Oversight

  • Oversee daily operations within assigned zone to ensure safe, efficient, and on-schedule production.

  • Monitor team and workflow to meet aggressive production and quality goals.

  • Collaborate with technical staff to ensure equipment reliability and process optimization.

  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and minimize inventory levels.

Continuous Improvement

  • Foster a continuous improvement culture using Lean, Kaizen, and 6S principles.

  • Empower team members to identify and implement process enhancements.

  • Establish annual goals that align with operational metrics and organizational objectives.

Training & Development

  • Ensure all employees are trained in safety, equipment operation, and quality standards.

  • Encourage cross-training to strengthen team flexibility and capability.

  • Lead by example to model discipline, safety, and operational excellence.


Qualifications

Knowledge / Experience / Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree inBusiness, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations (preferred).

  • Proven track record ofservant leadership and team development.

  • Minimum of1–3 years of experience in ahigh-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment (preferred).

  • Priorsupervisory experience in manufacturing strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity withLean Manufacturing,Kaizen,Kanban, andprocess control principles.

  • Proficiency inMicrosoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to foster collaboration and accountability within the team.


Must-Have Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations (preferred).

  • Proven servant leadership approach to managing teams.

  • 1–3 years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Supervisory experience within a manufacturing setting.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Strong ability to mentor, develop, and motivate employees in a production environment.
