Financial Reporting Senior

A business advisory firm is seeking to recruit aFinancial Reporting Senior to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on financial reporting standards, preparing detailed advisory reports for clients, drafting and reviewing financial statements, and contributing to the firm's thought leadership. You will work closely with clients and internal teams, delivering presentations on complex financial reporting topics and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.

This is a hybrid role offering a salary of up to €XX,XX.

Please note that only candidates already based in Malta will be considered.

Role & Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research on financial reporting standards and regulations, with a focus on IFRS and GAPSME

• Prepare detailed advisory reports for clients, offering insights and guidance on financial reporting matters

• Draft and review financial statements to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards

• Develop and deliver presentations on complex financial reporting topics to clients and internal teams

• Contribute to the firm's thought leadership by drafting articles on financial reporting trends and developments

• Prepare consolidation workings and other workings as required in line with GAPSME or IFRS

Skills & Experience

• Candidates must be a qualified accountant or a professional in the final stages of their ACCA qualification

• Candidates must have solid experience in accounting or audit, with a keen interest in transitioning or specialising in Financial Reporting

• Strong understanding of financial reporting frameworks, particularly IFRS and GAPSME, is required

• Applicants must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required, with the ability to manage data and create reports effectively

• An analytical mindset, demonstrating a passion for technical accounting and a commitment to staying current with industry standards and changes, is essential
