Job Summary:Â
For our CFO Renewables team, we are seeking a Financial Reporting and Accounting Sr that will contribute to the delivery of quality accounting and reporting support to management. This position will report to the Accounting Manager for Renewables within the department of the CFO Renewables North America.  Â
The position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.  Â
Responsibilities:Â
- Perform and oversee monthly and annual closing process in collaboration with the external service provider, including posting of journal entries, variance and trending analysis, account reconciliations and IFRS reporting to Repsol parent companyÂ
- Prepare external partnership reporting including US GAAP/IFRS financial statements and other reporting as requested by the partnerÂ
- Preparation of statutory financial statements under IFRS
- Assist with external and internal auditsÂ
- Perform account analysis and research with ad-hoc projects as requiredÂ
- Assist with the research and documentation of GAAP and IFRS technical accounting issuesÂ
- Accounts Payable – review proper coding and processing of invoices by external service provider, ensure timely approval, preparation of urgent payment proposals, manage payment inquiries, monitor approval status, overdue paymentsÂ
- Liaise with Asset Management and Planning & Performance Management to ensure proper internal reporting and forecastingÂ
- Assist with design, implementation and testing of internal controlsÂ
- Accurately manage intercompany transactions

QualificationsÂ
- Must be authorized to work in the US for any US employer without sponsorship now or in the future.Â
- 4+ years' experienceÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in accountingÂ
- CPA or progress towards CPA is a plus.Â
- Big 4 experience is a plus.
- IFRS & GAAP experience is a plusÂ
- Expertise in use of Microsoft ExcelÂ
- Knowledge and experience with SAP systems highly preferredÂ
- Ability to learn new tasks quicklyÂ
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsÂ
- Deadline driven and ability to plan ahead to ensure smooth close processesÂ
- Excellent verbal/written communications skillsÂ
- Prior work experience in the renewables sector is a plus. Â
