Financial Data Analyst

Work location: Warsaw, Poland 
Pay rate: PLN32.75/h 
Contract duration: 12 months with possible extension  
Client:A leading global financial services firm providing investment banking, securities, asset management, and other financial services to corporations, financial institutions, governments, and individuals worldwide. 

About the role:  

The role involves working closely with Investment Advisors, Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, Private Equity and Pension Funds to collect and analyse financial information related to performance and credit risk. The position is responsible for maintaining accurate fund Net Asset Values, performance data and other key financial information within internal credit systems, as well as monitoring and reporting on monthly data collection activities. The role also involves developing an understanding of funds’ investment strategies, performance and assets, while working closely with the Credit team to identify potential areas of concern and support effective credit risk management decisions. 

Responsibilities 

• Liaising with Investment Advisors, Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, Private Equity and Pension Funds to request financial information related to financial performance and credit risk 
• Updating fund's Net Asset Values, fund’s performance and other key fund’s financial information in Credit systems 
• Monitoring and reporting progress on monthly data collection to support Credit Risk Management decisions 
• Working with Funds to better understand performance, strategy, and assets 
• Integration with credit team to maximize ability to recognize potential areas of concern

• Efficient data analyst 
• Ability to learn quickly and work on own initiative 
• Basic credit risk and funds industry knowledge 
• Basic accounting or financial analysis skills 
• Articulate & diplomatic 
• Moderate knowledge of Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, more complex formulas) 
• Programming languages like VBA, SQL, R or Python are a plus, but not required
