The Finance team is looking for a newFinancial Controller to join our Revenue team in Norway. We offer a varied and engaging work environment, great colleagues, and a strong professional community.

The role is part of an engaged and highly skilled Financial Control team consisting of ten talented colleagues. In addition to working closely within the team, we collaborate extensively across the organization and participate in a variety of cross-functional projects. This provides a unique opportunity to build a strong network, collaborate with knowledgeable colleagues, and gain insight into different areas of the business.

Financial Control in Telia Norway is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial information for the company. The Revenue team primarily supports the commercial divisions with revenue reporting and accounting assessments.

What you’ll do:

·      Ensure compliance with relevant IFRS standards, with a particular focus on IFRS 15

·      Contribute to improving processes and internal controls related to revenue and balance sheet items

·      Provide input to, and perform quality assurance of, monthly and quarterly financial reporting

·      Support follow-up activities related to external and internal audits

·      Act as a trusted sparring partner for Telia Norway’s commercial divisions and business controlling on accounting-related matters

·      Perform controls of revenue data loads as part of the month-end closing process, including running basic SQL queries on complex datasets (training will be provided!)

·      Follow up, analyze, and ensure the quality of revenue-related balance sheet items

·      Perform and document selected internal controls related to the responsibilities above

·      Assess and document the accounting treatment of new revenue streams.

What will help you thrive in this role:

You are analytical and structured, with a proactive and independent approach, a strong sense of ownership, and a clear focus on execution and results. You communicate effectively, take responsibility for the quality of your work, and drive your processes forward with care and accountability.

·      Higher education in finance, accounting, business administration, auditing, or a related field

·      Minimum of four years of relevant experience

·      Experience with IFRS and with accounting and tax-related matters in general

·      Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Norwegian and English

·      Experience with basic SQL or other coding languages is an advantage

·      Highly proficient Excel user
