| ROLE PURPOSE The Financial Analyst provides high-quality planning, performance analysis and decision support across an international business. The role combines strong financial judgement with hands-on data capability and works closely with Finance Business Partners, FP&A colleagues and business stakeholders across regions and time zones. Key Responsibilities
· Own defined elements of monthly forecasting, annual budgeting and long-range planning, coordinating inputs, challenging assumptions and ensuring deadlines are met.· Develop, maintain and enhance driver-based financial models for scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, investment appraisal and business cases.
· Analyse actual performance against budget, forecast and key performance indicators, identifying underlying drivers, risks, opportunities and recommended actions.
· Prepare clear management reports, dashboards and presentations for senior stakeholders, combining financial accuracy with concise commercial commentary.
· Partner with Finance Business Partners and operational teams to gather inputs, validate assumptions and translate business activity into financial outcomes.
· Ensure data integrity and consistency across planning models, reporting outputs and source systems, including reconciliation, validation and issue resolution.
· Use Excel, SQL and visualisation tools to manipulate data, automate repeatable analysis and improve the quality and speed of reporting.
· Support consistent financial hierarchies, metadata and master data across Adaptive Planning, Power BI and related finance systems.
· Test and document new reports, models and system functionality, supporting user onboarding and knowledge transfer.
· Coach and review the work of junior analysts, sharing best practice and helping build analytical and technical capability.
· Support acquisition integration, strategic reviews, cost optimisation, operational deep-dives and other ad hoc analysis as required.
· Contribute to continuous improvement, automation and responsible use of AI across FP&A processes.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
· CA, CMA, MBA, bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.· Typically, 6+ years' relevant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, financial analysis or management reporting, ideally in a large, international, technology or professional services environment.
· Strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management reporting capability.
· Advanced Excel skills and practical experience using SQL or comparable data-query tools.
· Ability to convert complex financial and operational data into clear insight and recommendations.
· Strong written and verbal English communication, with confidence working with stakeholders across levels, functions, regions and time zones.
· High attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities within recurring reporting deadlines.
· Proactive, collaborative and comfortable taking ownership in a matrix environment.
Desirable
· Experience with Power BI or Tableau, including dashboard development and data visualisation.· Working knowledge of Workday Adaptive Planning, NetSuite and Kantata or comparable ERP, PSA and planning platforms.
· Experience with ETL processes, Python, process automation or AI-enabled finance use cases.
