Financial Analyst

Summary:

• Location: 466 Lexington Avenue NY, NY 10016 9th Floor
• Work Mode: Local
• Duration: 30 weeks
• Schedule: Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm

Responsibilities:

• Work with hospital executives, chiefs of service, and department heads in the analysis of spending patterns and revenue performance.
• Develop cost center budgets and implement cost containment programs and revenue enhancement opportunities.
• Analyze cost center staffing levels and expenses to develop standards for resource distribution.
• Develop reporting systems for monitoring and controlling expenditures and revenues.
• Oversee the development of functional and specification systems applications to plan, monitor, and control salary and non-salary spending and revenue performance.
• Analyze third-party reimbursement rates and regulations related to operating and capital budget issues.
• Develop and prepare financial profitability analyses and business plans for new programs and capital proposals.
• Provide training or work direction to assigned staff, as needed.
• Assist in the formulation of specific department goals and objectives and monitor activities to ensure achievement.
• Participate in the formulation of hospital/budget policies and procedures.
• Develop and/or modify policies and procedures to recommend to management.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 3 years of previous work-related experience
• Knowledge of Reimbursement Methodologies
• Knowledge of Budgeting & Cost Accounting
