Role purpose
Lead finance across Digico Solutions, combining direct responsibility for daily operations with financial guidance to
the CEO, Deputy CEO and business leaders. Safeguard cash, ensure reliable reporting and compliance, and support
profitable growth across cloud services, AI, consulting, managed services and resale. Build effective controls and
scalable processes, develop the Finance team, and coordinate external accountants, auditors and tax advisers
where specialist support is needed.
Key responsibilities
1. Accounting and financial reporting
Own the full accounting cycle and monthly close within 7 working days, including bank and balance sheet
reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, foreign currency revaluation and intercompany balances.
ď‚· Maintain consistent accounting policies and a suitable chart of accounts. Produce accurate entity and
consolidated reporting, including intercompany eliminations, under applicable accounting standards and IFRS
where required.
ď‚· Prepare statutory financial statements and audit schedules with external accountants as needed. Coordinate
external audits and resolve findings within agreed timelines.
2. Budgeting, forecasting and business support
ď‚· Lead the annual budget and rolling 12 month forecast with department heads. Translate sales pipeline, delivery
capacity, hiring plans and business priorities into financial assumptions and scenarios.
ď‚· Present a monthly management pack covering profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, budget variances and
profitability by entity, business line, client and project, with clear recommendations and action owners.
ď‚· Evaluate business cases for recruitment, investment, service development and market expansion. Challenge
assumptions and advise management on affordability, returns and financial risks.
3. Commercial finance and profitability
ď‚· Review pricing, project budgets and financial contract terms with Sales, Presales and Delivery before proposals
are issued, covering delivery costs, cloud charges, discounts, payment milestones and currency exposure.
ď‚· Track project and recurring service margins with Delivery. Analyse utilisation, unbilled work, scope changes, cost
overruns and estimated costs to complete, and agree corrective actions with accountable managers.
ď‚· Assess the financial impact of renewals and cloud consumption commitments. Escalate deals outside approved
margin or credit parameters for management approval.
4. Revenue, billing and partner reconciliation
ď‚· Translate signed contracts and statements of work into accurate billing and revenue schedules for fixed fee
projects, time and materials, managed services and cloud resale. Reconcile invoices to delivery evidence and
contractual milestones.
ď‚· Apply appropriate revenue recognition policies, including IFRS 15 where applicable. Maintain contract asset and
deferred revenue schedules, and document principal versus agent assessments for gross or net resale revenue
presentation.
ď‚· Reconcile AWS and other partner charges, funding claims, incentives, credits and Marketplace settlements with
the AWS Alliance Lead or relevant partner owner. Track evidence, claim deadlines, recoveries and reconciliation
differences.
5. Cash flow, treasury and cost management
ď‚· Maintain a 13 week cash forecast updated weekly. Monitor liquidity, upcoming obligations and foreign currency
exposure, and flag funding requirements early.
ď‚· Own receivables and collections, working with account owners to resolve disputes. Monitor ageing and days
sales outstanding, recommend credit limits and payment terms, and escalate overdue balances and potential
losses.
ď‚· Manage banking relationships and supplier payment schedules within approved authority. Review expenses,
subscriptions and overheads against budget, and recommend savings while protecting delivery commitments.
6. Tax, statutory compliance and payroll
ď‚· Maintain a compliance calendar for every entity. Coordinate applicable tax registrations, returns and payments,
including VAT, income or corporate tax, withholding tax and Zakat, with qualified local advisers.
ď‚· Ensure compliant electronic invoicing, including ZATCA Fatoora where applicable. Maintain supporting records
and coordinate intercompany tax and transfer pricing requirements, tax queries and regulatory updates with
advisers.
ď‚· Validate payroll calculations against inputs approved by People & Culture, including salary changes,
commissions, deductions, statutory contributions and end of service provisions. Arrange payment through
authorised approvals and reconcile payroll to the accounts.
7. Financial governance and internal controls
ď‚· Maintain finance policies, procedures and controls covering purchasing, expenses, billing, credit, payments and
financial approvals. Monitor compliance with the authority matrix and escalate exceptions.
ď‚· Separate transaction preparation, review and approval. Ensure independent authorisation of payments and
sensitive supplier or bank detail changes, with documented management reviews where team size limits
segregation.
ď‚· Protect financial and payroll information through appropriate access, retention and audit trails. Report
suspected irregularities, material errors and control weaknesses promptly, and track corrective actions.
8. Team leadership, systems and improvement
ď‚· Supervise and develop the Finance Associate, set objectives, review outputs and arrange backup coverage.
Coordinate external service providers and hold them accountable for agreed deliverables.
ď‚· Maintain reliable finance data and effective links between accounting, forecasting, HR, sales and project
systems. Document procedures and improve the speed and quality of reporting.
ď‚· Use approved automation and AI tools to simplify recurring finance work, with appropriate access controls,
human review and measurable improvements in accuracy or efficiency.
