Pay Range: $30 - $32/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform technical assessments of existing Windows 10 workstations to determine upgrade or replacement requirements.
  • Capture and maintain workstation information, including asset details and installed applications.
  • Assess hardware and software readiness for Windows 11, identifying potential compatibility issues.
  • Support the replacement of legacy workstations with enterprise-standard Windows 11 computers.
  • Build, configure, and prepare Windows 11 workstations according to approved standards.
  • Install and configure software using approved installation packages and vendor documentation.
  • Verify connectivity between Windows 11 workstations and attached instruments, peripherals, and network resources.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to Windows, drivers, services, and network connectivity.
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding compatibility and installation requirements.
  • Support pre-upgrade backup activities and ensure recovery provisions are in place.
  • Execute workstation upgrade activities following approved procedures and project schedules.
  • Document assessment results and implementation activities in designated tracking systems.
  • Participate in project meetings and deployment planning activities.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • 3–5 years of relevant IT support, desktop engineering, systems support, or infrastructure experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience withWindows 10 and Windows 11.
  • Proficiency inActive Directory and domain-joined workstation concepts.
  • Understanding of network troubleshooting fundamentals, includingTCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and execute defined procedures.
  • Strong documentation and technical communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite and support scheduled deployment activities as required.
