Role Summary
Lead delivery of an AI-enabled, cloud-native banking and payments platform as a technically strong project manager. The role combines delivery ownership with architectural oversight across distributed systems, AWS, APIs, agentic AI, observability, and security.
Key Responsibilities
• Own end-to-end delivery: scope, plan, milestones, RAID, dependencies, budget and stakeholder reporting.
• Provide architectural oversight for distributed systems, AWS cloud architecture and API design decisions.
• Guide the design and governance of agentic AI solutions, ensuring safe, observable and cost-effective operation.
• Ensure security architecture, compliance and audit requirements are embedded in design and delivery.
• Drive observability standards (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting) and operational readiness for go-live.
• Lead the 1-month knowledge transition from the MVP delivery team and ensure continuity of delivery.
• Coordinate onsite and offshore teams, run governance forums and manage executive-level communication.
• Manage risks, issues and change requests; drive release readiness, hypercare and stabilization.
Required Skills & Experience
• 12+ years in technology delivery, including senior technical project/program management.
• Strong background in distributed systems architecture and AWS cloud architecture.
• Hands-on familiarity with Python and API design.
• Exposure to agentic AI architecture and AI/LLM solution delivery.
• Working knowledge of observability and security architecture.
• Banking/payments domain experience
Preferred / Good to Have
• PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe or equivalent certification.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification.
• Experience delivering in regulated financial-services environments.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Soft Skills
Clear written and verbal communication with US-based stakeholders, ownership mindset, structured problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively across onsite–offshore teams.
