Special Missions Software Engineer

This role is more than just coding. As a senior full stackdeveloper at Booz Allen, you’ll use your passion to master new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You’ll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You’ll make sure the solutiondeveloped by the team considers thecurrent architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:

• 5+ years ofexperience withsoftware engineering including designing, modifying,developing, writing, and implementingsoftware programming applications
• Experience insoftwaredevelopment using modern compiled and interpreted programming languages
• Experience with front-enddevelopment including a modern webdevelopment stack and framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.js, including HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design
• Experience with back-enddevelopment building services and APIs such as Spring Boot, .NET, Node.js, Django, gin-gonic, gofiber, or FastAPI
• Experiencedeveloping, packaging, and deploying containerized applications with Docker, and container orchestration such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or ECS
• Experience with various database solutions including relational or NoSQL databases, including data modeling, query optimization, and use of ORMs
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines such as Git CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
• Knowledge ofsoftware design patterns, microservices architecture, and secure coding practices and debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,Software Engineering, Information Systems, or technology field, or 8+ years ofexperience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform, Helm, Ansible, or CloudFormation
• Experience with message brokers and event-driven architecture such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS
• Experience observability and monitoring such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Datadog, or Splunk
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium,  vitest, or JUnit or pytest
• Experience with DevSecOps practices, SAST/DAST tooling, and vulnerability remediation
• Experience with authentication and authorization standards including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, or SAML
• Experience with caching strategies, such as Redis or Memcached, and API gateway technologies
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into production applications, including implementing retrieval-augmented generation(RAG) solutions with vector databases, embedding models, and LLM APIs or SDKs
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments with tools such as Jira, Azure Boards, or GitLab
• Cloudcertifications
