Job Summary/Overview

 

SCA Facilities Maintenance Field Coordinator Level 3 is responsible for assisting and dispatching team members to achieve their daily duties, conducting and tracking work orders, enforcing and inspecting quality Control, carrying out preventive maintenance and repair of commercial mechanical equipment, commercial facilities, public areas, amenities, etc. This obvious, hands-on position within the community requires the utmost professionalism and awareness of how actions and communications are perceived.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Activity handle repairs and improvements on all facilities.
  • Observes and reports quality control issues and emergencies directly to management.
  • Conducts spot inspections of PM service work performed by the team.
  • Completes building inspections, reports, and checklists for management review
  • Assist and dispatch co-workers to handle work order requirements and reactive work.
  • Track Production progress of PM Services and Work order Completion.
  • Handles after-hours emergency calls directly from management for unforeseen emergencies.
  • Assist in handling contractors for emergency work and capital projects.
  • Sets the example to all by providing skilled Quality Control Standards, Professionalism, and Workmanship.
  • Follows work orders precisely and notes all labor times and materials used.
  • Works safely, promotes safety, and follows PPE procedures.
  • Performs commercial maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair on community-owned buildings, equipment, roofs, exterior surfaces, amenities, etc.
  • Able to diagnose and repair various types of mechanical equipment.
  • Perform Lighting and equipment repairs using ladders and or lifting equipment.
  • Skilled in Preventive Maintenance and Management of various types of Mechanical Equipment and Commercial Facilities Repair.
  • Able to read and follow directions, work orders, and wiring diagrams for safety and repair.
  • Experienced in HVAC repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Works under EPA Guidelines with refrigerants and gauges.
  • Organize and coordinate team member duties during large Event Sets and Community Activities.  
  • Assist and train co-workers in setting up chairs, tables, tents, displays, and decorations for events and daily activities.
  • Works safely, promotes safety, and follows PPE procedures.
  • Must remain flexible with shifts and hours to accommodate event schedules and community needs.
  • Able to work at heights above 6 feet.
  • Performs all duties in adherence to OTOW standards
  • Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors, and co-workers
  • Must be self-sufficient and have their tools.
  • Performs various other duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Technical Skills)

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 2-year Experience in Commercial Repairs and Mechanical Maintenance.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in supervising maintenance teams
  • Domestic Water/ Backflow Certified
  • OSHA 10-hour Cert or willing to achieve.
  • EPA Certified preferred or willing to achieve.

 

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English
  • Must be proficient in safely handling hazardous materials
  • Able to achieve OSHA 10-Hour Cert.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is beneficial
  • Customer service skills
