IIX Institute serves as the organizationās learning and capacity-building arm, delivering training and certiļ¬cation programs for enterprises, investors, policymakers, and ecosystem stakeholders. Through its online learning platform, Ā the Institute oļ¬ers self-paced and practitioner-oriented courses focused on inclusive ļ¬nance, Ā impact measurement, and investment readiness.
RoleOverview
We are seeking an entrepreneurial, subject-matter-driven, and commercially minded Vice President / Senior Vice President to lead and grow IIX Impact Institute as a leading platform for practitioner-oriented education and capacity building in impact investing, sustainable ļ¬nance, Ā climate ļ¬nance, Ā gender, and inclusive ļ¬nance.
The role combines content expertise, strategic leadership, business growth, partnerships, product development, and team leadership. The VP/SVP will bring strong substantive knowledge to shape the Instituteās learning agenda, ensure the relevance and quality of its oļ¬erings, and serve as a credible voice with senior stakeholders across the impact investing and sustainable ļ¬nance ecosystem.
The role will also lead Ā the Instituteās growth strategy, building new markets, Ā clients, partnerships, and distribution channels while driving measurable performance across user acquisition, course conversion, revenue, partnerships, program Ā delivery, and product Ā quality
KeyResponsibilities.
A.Ā Strategy, Growth & Commercial Leadership
- Set and execute the Instituteās strategy, growth priorities, and commercial direction.
- Own targets across user acquisition, course conversion, revenue, partnerships, and market expansion.
- Identify and develop new markets, Ā audiences, products, and business models.
- Grow the Institute across open-enrollment, institutional, corporate, government, and customized programs.
- Use market and performance insights to strengthen the Instituteās positioning, portfolio, and commercial sustainability.
B.Ā Subject-Matter, Training & Product Leadership
- Provide deep subject-matter leadership across the Instituteās core areas and shape its learning agenda.
- Design and deliver executive and practitioner training for commercial, ļ¬nancial, government, and institutional audiences.
- Develop curricula, learning objectives, training materials, case studies, exercises, and other content for in-person, virtual, and customized programs.
- Ensure learning products are technically rigorous, practical, engaging, and relevant to market needs.
- Lead the development and quality of new courses, certiļ¬cations, executive education, and customized learning products.
- Represent the Institute as a practitioner, educator, and thought leader in relevant external forums.
C.Ā Strategic Partnerships & Business Development
- Build senior relationships with ļ¬nancial institutions, investors, corporates, governments, development partners, universities, and ecosystem organizations.
- Originate and convert opportunities that expand the Instituteās revenue, reach, distribution, and strategic positioning.
- Source and execute opportunities for webinars, conferences, roundtables, and other learning engagements, including speakers and delivery partners.
- Identify opportunities to connect Institute oļ¬erings with IIXās broader investment, advisory, technology, and data capabilities.
D.Ā Country Programs & Training Delivery
- Lead Ā IIX country programs and strategic initiatives with a training or capacity-building component, including ļ¬agship programs such as the Impact Investment Readiness Program.
- Lead the assessment of country, Ā sector, and participant needs and translate insights into relevant training strategies, curricula, and learning solutions.
- Design and deliver high-quality workshops, training sessions, webinars, and other learning engagements for commercial, ļ¬nancial, government, and institutional audiences.
- Lead the development and adaptation of training curricula, materials, and Institute courses for speciļ¬c country, Ā sector, and client contexts.
- Build and manage relationships with training partners, ļ¬rms, instructors, and subject-matter experts, ensuring the right expertise and delivery capacity for each program.
- Provide overall oversight of program execution, quality, and completion, working with the Institute team, Ā country teams, and external partners.
E. Ā Marketing,Platform & LearnerGrowth
- Provide strategic oversight of the Instituteās digital learning platform, Ā learner experience, and platform operations, ensuring the team maintains a high-quality and eļ¬ective learner journey.
- Work with IIX Marketing to develop campaigns or promotion calendars that drive awareness, user acquisition, course purchases, and engagement.
- Shape the Instituteās digital platform, Ā learner experience, and product strategy, with day-to-day management led by the team.
- Set standards for course and platform quality and use learner and performance data to improve conversion, completion, and retention.
- Build distribution through industry platforms, conferences, universities, associations, and other ecosystem channels.
Required Qualiļ¬cations & Experience
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience in impact investing, sustainable ļ¬nance, Ā climate ļ¬nance, Ā ļ¬nancial services, professional education, consulting, international development, or related ļ¬elds.
- Deep subject-matter expertise in one or more of the Instituteās core Ā areas, including but not limited to:
- Sustainable ļ¬nance Ā and investment
- SME Ā ļ¬nance Ā and investment readiness
- Gender-lens investing
- Climate ļ¬nance
- Impact measurement and management
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering professional or executive training, particularly for commercial, ļ¬nancial, corporate, or institutional audiences.
- Hands-on ability to develop curricula, training materials, case studies, exercises, and other learning content and deliver engaging training to senior and practitioner audiences.
- Strong understanding of business and ļ¬nancial-sector needs, with experience working directly with corporates, ļ¬nancial institutions, investors, or other commercial organizations.
- Proven track record of building or growing a business, product, platform, program, or institutional oļ¬ering, with accountability for outcomes.
- Strong experience in strategic partnerships, business development, and senior stakeholder engagement.
- Experience developing and leading country-level or market-speciļ¬c programs and partnerships.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to develop professional learning content and deliver training eļ¬ectively in both languages.
- Strong strategic, commercial, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred/ Desired Qualiļ¬cations.
- Experience with a multilateral or development ļ¬nance institution, such as the World Bank Group, Ā IFC, ADB, or similar organization.
- Experience working with governments, DFIs, ļ¬nancial institutions, investors, corporates, or universities.
- Experience building or scaling professional education, executive education, certiļ¬cation, or digital learning platforms.
- Strong understanding of ļ¬nancial markets, Ā investment, and development ļ¬nance.
