Lighthouse is looking for an individual who exudes a servant heart, has a good work ethic, and skilled in customer service.  The ideal candidate is able to work in a fast-paced and active work environment and completes all work in a timely manner.

Summary

Tow customer and business vehicles to the dealership for service as needed during the shift.  When not towing the parts assistant/driver will be responsible for stocking duties related to receiving, and delivery of parts and accessories that contribute to the efficient, safe and profitable operation of the dealership parts department. Ongoing responsibilities include: towing, assisting the parts team, driving delivery vehicles, building maintenance, shop operation and cleanliness, and other customer service responsibilities.

Job Type: Part-Time – Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Salary: $19/hr
Schedule: Monday – Wednesday, 7 AM – 5:00 PM

Essential Duties

• Operate the rollback and complete all deliveries/tows for the day.
• Provide excellent customer service when picking up customer vehicles or working within the Parts department.
• Ensure proper maintenance of parts department vehicles.
• Operation of a forklift; training and certification provided.
• Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledging all customers you come in contact with.
• Work with shop foreman to ensure a clean and orderly shop.
• Assist in keeping the parts department clean and orderly by performing routine housekeeping tasks that maintain and enhance the efficiency of the parts area.
• Help check in and restock parts and verify receiving documents as needed.
• Provide service techs with parts as required.
• Help process core, warranty and new parts returns.
• Use dealership equipment and resources safely and efficiently.
• Keep yourself groomed and clothed per dealership guidelines.
• Perform other tasks as requested by the parts manager.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

• Must hold a valid Illinois Class B or C Driver’s License
• Must pass an Illinois DOT Physical
• Must currently have and maintain a safe driving record.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Highest level of honest and integrity.

Working Conditions

• Work in a service department/shop environment.
• Job involves driving and operating a rollback tow truck.
• Job requires bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, and lifting/carrying material in excess of 50 pounds.
