Export Operations & Trade Compliance Manager

The Export Operations & Trade Compliance Manager is responsible for building and managing Alfaa UV's export operations capability in India. The role will establish export processes, controls, logistics-provider networks, and trade compliance programs to support international business growth.

• Build and establishexport operations capability in India, rather than simply manage an existing logistics process.
• Createexport readiness plans and coordinate activities across functions.
• Own export documentation and customs compliance.
• HandleHS classification, Country of Origin and Incoterms.
• Ensure compliance with Indian export requirements including:IECDGFTICEGATEShipping Bills Export record keeping
• DevelopSOPs, controls and reporting metrics for export operations.
• Select and managefreight forwarders, customs brokers and logistics providers.
• Lead the company'sinitial export shipments and subsequently scale the operation.
• Improve export/logistics processes and establish a sustainable compliance framework.

Ideal candidate profile

Must-have

• 7–10+ years inexport operations / international logistics / customs / trade compliance.
• Strong hands-on experience withIndian export documentation and customs procedures.
• Knowledge ofDGFT, ICEGATE, IEC and Shipping Bills.
• Hands-on understanding ofHS/HSN classification, Country of Origin and Incoterms.
• Experience dealing directly withfreight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Evidence ofbuilding, setting up or significantly improving export processes, not only executing shipments.

Strong preference

• Manufacturing / industrial / engineering product environment.
• Experience establishingSOPs, controls and compliance processes.
• International shipment experience involving multiple countries.
• Experience taking an export operation frominitial shipment to a scalable operating model.
