TCI Maintenance is looking for experienced Diesel Mechanics who know their way around heavy-duty trucks and trailers!

WHAT WE OFFER

Pay: $29.52–$34.77 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

Schedule: Monday–Friday - occasional weekends - on call availability

Location: Lakeland, Florida

PUT YOUR DIESEL EXPERIENCE TO WORK!

As aLevel 3 Diesel Technician, you'll use your mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to do PM's, diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial trucks and trailers.

You'll work with an experienced maintenance team while taking ownership of repairs and helping keep our customers' equipment running safely and reliably.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel engines and major mechanical components.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and related components.

• Diagnose and repair air brake and hydraulic systems.

• Service and repair clutches, PTO systems, and drivetrain components.

• Troubleshoot heating, air conditioning, instruments, and gauges.

• Perform preventative maintenance and identify potential mechanical failures.

• Remove, replace, and repair major truck and trailer components.

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical issues.

• Complete quality repairs efficiently while meeting established safety and performance standards.

• Collaborate with shop leadership and fellow technicians to solve challenging repair issues.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on diesel engine repair experience, with 4–6+ years preferred.

• Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to complete repairs with minimal supervision.

• Valid driver's license.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe, quality workmanship.

• Ability to work independently and contribute to a team.

• Availability to participate in an on-call rotation.

EXPERIENCE THAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT

• Experience with Cummins, Detroit Diesel, PACCAR, or other heavy-duty diesel engines.

• Knowledge of DEF, DPF, SCR, and diesel aftertreatment systems.

• Experience using electronic diagnostic equipment and troubleshooting software.

• ASE certifications or manufacturer-specific technical training.

• Experience assisting or mentoring developing technicians.
