Position Summary: Â
Manages the housekeeping services of the hotel in a manner which will maintain high standards of service and hospitality consistent with the policies and procedures set forth by the management of the hotel.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes superior guest service.
- Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of TâlÃcn and the Core Values of ilani.
- Organizes and manages the daily operations of the housekeeping staff by overseeing the cleaning and sanitation of guest rooms, public areas, and Heart of House.
- Performs daily inspections of guest hotel rooms, bathrooms and public areas for cleanliness, appearance, and organization according to department standards.
- Conducts all departmental and pre-shift meetings.
- Prepares and follows through on departmental strategic plans and goals.
- Follows up with guests to ensure that customer satisfaction goals are met.
- Responsible for the hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and counseling of the housekeeping staff.
- Prepares department schedules and labor and productivity reports.
- Ensures accurate key control.
- Works as a liaison for the laundry operation, including managing par levels and guest supplies, ensuring proper laundering, storage, and distribution standards.
- Develop and track loss prevention measures for linen.
- Works as a liaison for the laundry operation.
- Instructs employees on the proper use of equipment and chemicals per the ilani Occupational Safety and Health Ordinance.
- Provides feedback on survey inspections scores.
- Develops action plans and projects for sections that need cleaning improvements.
- Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment.
- Reports repairs and replacement of equipment, as needed.
- Ensures proper recycling procedures are adhered to .
- Assists with the preparation of the monthly P&L and annual budget.
- Assists with ordering needed supplies through the inventory control system.
- Assists with budget goals for Housekeeping and EVS supplies.
- Communicates with vendors, as needed.
- Ensures guest requests are fulfilled in a timely manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, Recognized Equivalent Diploma (RED), or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
- Minimum five (5) years of progressive housekeeping leadership experience in a hotel, resort, or casino environment.
- Minimum three (3) years of management experience overseeing housekeeping operations, supervisors, and line-level team members in a hotel with a minimum of 250 rooms.
- Must possess 4 Diamond housekeeping experience.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing labor scheduling, productivity standards, staffing, and departmental budgets.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, laundry operations, cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, Hazard Communication Standards, SDS/MSDS requirements, bloodborne pathogens, and workplace safety programs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and hospitality operational systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and employee development skills.
- Ability to analyze operational data and implement process improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds throughout a shift.
- Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Â
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Executive Housekeeper experience in a luxury hotel, resort, or casino property preferred.
- Experience leading housekeeping operations with 300+ guestrooms preferred.
- Experience with HotSOS, Opera PMS, LMS, or similar hospitality management systems preferred.
- Bi-lingual communication skills preferred. Â
