About the role:
TheSenior Manager,Commercial Development rolesare responsible for providing strategicaccount-specificsupport toourMulti-Brand Retail (MBR) partners. Specifically, theseroles will help leadkeywholesaleaccounts,and play acritical role in strategicallybuilding and managing ourimage andbusiness within ourRetailer partner network.
The SeniorManagers will develop and lead execution of shortand long-term strategic plans for specifiedRetailer accounts, and act as the primary interface with corporateaccount partners (buyers, digital merchants, visual leads).These positions include responsibilitiesfor the CHANEL Fragrance & Beaute MBRomni-channel business, inclusive ofoversight and negotiation ofe-commerce and digital marketing. These roles willidentify and negotiate opportunities with retailers toaugmentCHANEL’smarket-share,retailerrank, anddrive ourclient loyaltyKPIs.

What you will bring to the team:
Act as primary point of contact for several major Retail accounts,owning the business performance and relationship for F&B with each account
Partner with leadership in evaluating opportunitiesand how to evolve the business includingnew ways of working and leading large, cross-functional project teams
Partner with client intelligenceto create targeted programswith the retailers
Develop a seasonal, customized omni-channel marketing account strategy, inclusiveof:advertising, visualpresence and e-retailinitiatives
Be the “expert”and key internalpoint personofcontact forthe account, proactively drivingoptimization and growth of accounts (strongunderstandingofaccount nuances, requirements, limitations, programs,P&L literacyetc.)
Independently manage the day-to-day communication and relationship withtheaccount
Create presentations for both external (Retailer Executive & Merchant teams) and internal (seniorleadership)teams
Champion recommendations that ensure internal media and external brand activities are aligned to support overall brand objectives
Act as the strategic lead for‘Market’ touch points, owning the retailer presentation and follow-up
Establish strong relationships with the field teams and lead respective account cohorts
Act as key point person tofacilitate alignment between internal cross-functional teams, including but not limited to: Marketing, Planning,Retail Store Environment,eRetail, Client Intelligence, ClientExperience
Contribute tostrategy developmentacross our MBRdistribution witha strong sense of ownership of accounts and ability to see the big picture in driving image andprofitability
Represent the CHANEL brand and have a deep knowledge/understanding of its values and drivers
Position Logistics:
Bachelor's degreerequired, advanced degree preferred
Prior experience in marketing, business development,account development,merchant/buying role, digital marketing, or analytics & reporting
Prior directexternalaccountor brandmanagement and negotiations experiencerequired
Prior experience with data analysis, and high comfort level with senior-management level presentations both internally and externally
Prior experience in digital marketing and/or CRM strategy significant plus
Prior experience managing budgets, andhasstrongunderstanding ofP&L
Advancedproficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Microsoft Word, Excel,Powerpoint)
Superior written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
Strong analytical skills including retail math andproficiency with financial statements and modeling
Proven ability to balance concurrent priorities while effectively managing time and deadlines
Independent thinker; ability toidentify and present opportunities
Demonstratesresilience and adaptability, thriving in fast-paced environments and quickly adjusting to changing priorities and circumstances.
Ability to traveloccasionallyforMarket,business meetings with accounts,and store visits
Digital Expertise a plus: site merchandising and understanding of digital tactics (direct load, affiliate, SEM, SEO, retargeting, display) and familiar with paid social KPI’s (CTR/CPM, Impressions, Reach, Engagement, LPR, CPC)
Hybrid: Rolerequires a minimum of three days in-person office at the NYC office.

Compensation:
Theanticipated base salary range for this position is $87,500 through $135,000.Base salary is onecomponent of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/orperks.
