EVP, Technology for Product and Data

Job Description

Position Overview:

Horizon Media is seeking a visionary and execution-focused EVP, Technology on our Product & Data team to spearhead the architecture, engineering, and delivery of the user experience and agentic workflow layer for our next-generation, AI-native media buying platform.

Reporting directly to the Chief Product & Data Officer, this executive leader will be responsible for defining and executing the micro frontend (MFE) strategy that unifies complex media workflows—from planning and buying to optimization and analytics—into a cohesive, composable digital experience. A defining pillar of this role is leading engineering through an "AI-first" development paradigm: leveraging generative AI developer tooling, autonomous agent harnesses, and AI-accelerated development practices to dramatically increase velocity, code quality, and time-to-market.

Key Responsibilities:

Microfrontend Architecture & Strategy

•Define & Execute MFE Vision: Architect and implement a scalable, resilient

microfrontend foundation that allows multiple squads to build, test, and deploy

features independently without sacrificing end-user performance or UX

consistency.

•Composable Platform Ecosystem:Establish cross-application contracts, shared state management, routing, and shared design system integration across disparate media tools, platforms, and partners into one unified AI-native platform.

•Performance & Scalability:Guarantee industry-leading client-side performance, core web vitals, and asset orchestration across complex, data-heavy dashboard environments.

AI-Native Engineering & Developer Productivity

•AI-Augmented SDLC:Champion and implement an AI-first engineering

methodology across the frontend team, embedding AI harnesses, LLM codegeneration

assistants, automated unit/integration test synthesizers, and AI-driven

code review pipelines.

•Agentic & Generative Tooling:Experiment with and scale generative UI tooling (e.g., dynamic component generation, context-aware interface assembly) to accelerate feature development.

•Benchmarking & Velocity Metrics:Track, quantify, and continuously improve

developer velocity and code health through the adoption of cutting-edge AI

engineering practices.

AI-Native User Experience & Interaction Design

•Next-Gen Media Workflows:Partner with Product and UX design to create modern interface paradigms tailored for AI-powered media buying, natural language

querying, automated decisioning panels, and human-in-the-loop review queues.

•Real-Time Data Visualization:Deliver responsive, low-latency UI components

capable of rendering high-velocity campaign pacing, programmatic bidding metrics, and predictive forecasting data.

Engineering Leadership & Talent Cultivation

•Team Building:Recruit, lead, and mentor a top-tier frontend and full-stack

engineering team, instilling a culture of craftsmanship, technical excellence, and continuous learning.

•Engineering Culture:Foster a forward-looking environment where engineers are encouraged to test emerging AI capabilities, open-source innovations, and modern architecture patterns.

Qualifications:

•Experience:

10+ years in technology leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a senior role

managing engineering teams. Experience in building and scaling AI-driven or data intensive platforms, preferably in the media, advertising, or technology sectors.

•Technical Expertise:

Proven track record architecting and deploying large-scale enterprise web

applications or SaaS platforms, ideally within media buying, programmatic

advertising (AdTech/MarTech), or data-intensive analytics ecosystems.

•Microfrontend & Modern Web Standards:

Deep expertise in microfrontend architectures (Webpack/Vite Module Federation, Single-SPA, dynamic micro-apps), modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and frameworks such as React or Next.js.

•AI-Driven Development:

Documented experience integrating and operationalizing modern AI tools into the software development lifecycle (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, bespoke LLM agents, automated evaluation harnesses, prompt-to-code pipelines).

•Leadership & Communication:

Proven ability to lead diverse technical teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders eKectively.

•Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:

Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving and

decision-making.

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced

degree (e.g., M.S., Ph.D.) or MBA is a plus.

Salary Range
