Job Description


Role Summary
Reliance Matrix (RSL) is seeking an experienced Senior ETL QA Engineer with a background in ETL development to establish an end-to-end QA governance model. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of data architecture, end-to-end data flows (from ETL pipelines to BI reports), and large-scale enterprise data validation. In this role, you will collaborate closely with developers and business analysts to reverse-engineer system architectures and create essential baseline QA documentation, includingdata mapping sheets anddata lineage diagrams.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Execution: Design and execute comprehensive test strategies for ETL pipelines, Data Warehouses (EDW/ADW), Data Lakes, and reporting systems.
- Data Validation: Validate batch processing, incremental loads, Change Data Capture (CDC), and historical data conversions.
- Database & Layer Testing: Perform backend database testing using complexSQL queries and stored procedures to validate staging tables, dimensions, facts, aggregate tables, and reporting layers.
- Transformation & Analytics Logic: Validate complex transformation logic, business rules, and reporting accuracy between the data warehouse and business intelligence systems.
-Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with ETL developers, data engineers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure data integrity.
- Lifecycle Support: DriveSystem Integration Testing (SIT),User Acceptance Testing (UAT),regression testing,release validation, andpost-deployment verification.
Required Qualifications
- Testing Experience: Minimum 7+ years of experience in ETL /Data Warehouse testing.
- Development Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as an ETL / DW developer.
- BI Validation: Minimum 2+ years of experience in Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting validation or development.
- Database Expertise: StrongSQL expertise with large-scale enterprise databases, including hands-on experience withOracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency withSQL Developer,CloudBerry,Python, andPySpark.
- Operations & Scripting: Practical experience withShell Scripting,server log analysis,batch monitoring, andtroubleshooting.
- Methodology: Proven experience working inAgile/Scrum environments.
