Role Descriptions: ETL QA
We are looking for an experienced ETL QA Engineer to validate and ensure the quality of data integration, transformation, and migration processes. The candidate will be responsible for testing data pipelines, validating data accuracy, and ensuring compliance with business requirements across data warehouse and reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities
· Analyze business and functional requirements related to data warehousing and ETL processes.
· Develop and execute ETL test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
· Validate source-to-target data mapping and transformation rules.
· Perform data quality, data integrity, and data reconciliation testing.
· Execute SQL queries for backend data validation and troubleshooting.
· Identify, track, and manage defects using defect management tools.
· Validate data loads in data warehouses, data marts, and reporting systems.
· Collaborate with ETL developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
· Perform regression, system integration, and end-to-end testing.
· Prepare test summary reports and communicate testing status to stakeholders.
Required Skills
· Strong experience in ETL Testing and Data Warehouse Testing.
· Proficiency in SQL for complex data validation and analysis.
· Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, DataStage, Talend, SSIS, or Ab Initio.
· Knowledge of data warehousing concepts including Fact and Dimension tables, Star Schema, and Snowflake Schema.
· Experience in validating source-to-target mappings and transformation logic.
· Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Quality Center.
· Experience with Unix/Linux commands.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
· Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
· Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, or Databricks.
· Exposure to test automation frameworks for data testing.
· BFSI domain experience is preferred.
