Senior Manager / Manager, Storage & Backup Administrator

Join our Infrastructure Services team and play a key role in managing and enhancing the Bank's enterprise storage and backup environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, security, performance, and resilience of mission-critical storage and data protection platforms while supporting infrastructure projects, disaster recovery readiness, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
•    Administer and support enterprise storage platforms, including Hitachi HCP, Hitachi VSP, Pure Storage, Cohesity and/or NetApp environments.
•    Manage SAN infrastructure, storage provisioning, replication, and disaster recovery configurations across Production and DR Data Centres.
•    Monitor storage performance, capacity utilization, and system health; perform capacity planning and technology optimization.
•    Maintain enterprise backup solutions and ensure data protection, recoverability, and business continuity readiness.
•    Perform system patching, firmware upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and technology lifecycle management.
•    Support disaster recovery drills, failover testing, and recovery exercises.
•    Investigate infrastructure incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
•    Prepare operational reports, maintain system documentation, and support audit and regulatory requirements.
•    Lead or participate in storage and backup infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrations.
•    Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to deliver stable and secure infrastructure services.

Requirements
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
•    Relevant storage, backup, or infrastructure certifications are preferred.
•    Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
•    Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
•    Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within deadlines.
•    Manager: 5-8 years of experience in storage and backup administration or a related infrastructure role.
•    Senior Manager: 8-10 years of experience in storage and backup administration or a related infrastructure role.

Technical Skills
•    Hands-on experience in Hitachi, Pure Storage, Cohesity and/or NetApp administration, including storage provisioning, SAN zoning, and cross-site replication.
•    Strong knowledge of Brocade SAN Switches and Fabric OS administration, including zoning, firmware upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
•    Experience with Veritas NetBackup administration, including backup policy management, scheduling, monitoring, and recovery operations.
•    Expertise in enterprise storage infrastructure, capacity planning, performance optimization, and SAN technologies.
•    Experience in patch management, system upgrades, and lifecycle management of End-of-Support (EOS) hardware and software.
•    Sound understanding of disaster recovery, backup and recovery, business continuity, storage replication, and failover procedures.
