Manager, Remittance & Settlement

You will be responsible for supervising team members to carry out daily settlement function for derivatives products effectively and efficiently. You will be required to support FXMM and Fixed income team, support strategic & industry driven projects, participate in user testing, assist Department Head in management reporting.

Responsibilities

• Review dailyoperational activities for Derivatives products (including Equity derivatives, interest rate derivatives, FX derivatives, Credit derivatives, Variation margin management)

• Check and review daily settlement operations for newly executed FX option, equity option & interest rate swap trades as well as other derivatives products(including Equity derivatives, interest rate derivatives, FX derivatives, Credit derivatives)

• Check and review daily operations of initial margin & variation margin with trading counterparties and central clearing agent

• Review daily processing of all trade events (including corporate action, life-cycle events and option exercise events) 

• Monitor & handle trade repository reporting to comply with regulatory reporting requirements

• Monitor daily day end control checking for all products

• Support CNY regulatory reporting and other management reporting

• Review and update procedure manual regularly in accordance with bank practice

• Liaise with related stakeholders for problem resolution

• Drive the team in end-to-end process review and reengineering projects for continuous process improvement

• Work with department head and teams in BCP, drill exercise and operations resilience planning  

• Manage team productivity and staff performance for operational excellence

Requirements

• Degree holder in Banking / Business Administration / Finance is preferred

• Minimum 10 years relevant experience in Banking or Financial Institution of which 4 years at supervisory level

• Sound product knowledge of treasury and investment products

• Familiar with RTGS, SWIFT, HKTR, MarkitWire, EasyWay, Xact and related settlement system

• Strong people management and project management skills

• Good interpersonal and analytical skills

• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
