Manager, Digital Technology / Senior Digital Technology Manager (1 Year Contract)

Job Purpose:
You will be a core member of the eBanking technical team responsible for the end-to-end solution delivery of eBanking initiatives. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation of the enhancement in our digital platforms.  The role requires strong hands-on technical experience together with leadership capability. The successful candidate will lead offshore developers and collaborate with internal teams while remaining capable of contributing to development tasks when required.

Main Responsibilities:
•    Lead system design, development, implementation and support of eBanking applications covering web and mobile channels
•    Work closely with business users, project managers and IT teams to analyse requirements and propose technical solutions
•    Lead and coordinate offshore development centre at Mainland China including task assignment, technical review and delivery tracking
•    Participate in hands-on development when required by project needs
•    Design and implement backend services, APIs and integration with third-party libraries
•    Ensure code quality, security compliance and adherence to the bank standards
•    Conduct technical review, solution design and architecture alignment
•    Support SIT/UAT, production rollout and post-implementation support
•    Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution
•    Prepare technical documentation and participate in project planning and estimation

Incumbent Requirements:
•    Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
•    Minimum 10+ years of application development experience, with at least 3 years in a lead capacity preferably in banking / financial services.  (Candidate with less experience will be considered as manager role)
•    Strong hands-on frontend experience in Angular, javascript, CSS, and backend experience in Java, Spring and Spring Boot development
•    Solid experience in enterprise system integration, web service and API development
•    Strong SQL skills with experience in Oracle Enterprise Database
•    Experience leading offshore development teams
•    Proven experience delivering Internet Banking / Mobile Banking or digital platforms is highly preferred
•    Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile and secure coding practices
•    Ability to balance technical leadership with hands-on delivery
•    Strong problem-solving and communication skills
•    Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced banking environment
•    Good command of English and Chinese; Mandarin is an advantage
