The Chrome and Web Ecosystem Partnerships team helps shape the future of browsing and the open web in the AI era by engaging with strategic partners across the ecosystem.

As the Chrome Growth and Distribution Partnership Lead, you will be responsible for driving Chrome’s product adoption, user engagement, and multi-platform reach across desktop and mobile environments. Operating in a dynamic and evolving browser ecosystem, this role will architect innovative partnership models, expand user access to Chrome and ensure high-performance web browsing experience across major platforms, reinforced by the strategic partnerships.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $140000 - $203000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, or 5 years with advanced degree.
  • Experience in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional partnership initiatives with a significant impact on business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and prioritize strategic partnership opportunities that align with business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to and influencing c-level executives.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with a track record of securing favorable terms and building consensus.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategic interface with executive Chrome PM, Engineering leads, cross-functional leads (gTech, Finance, Legal) to align partnership strategies with product priorities and roadmap.
  • Develop, launch, optimize and scale high-impact distribution programs and pilot initiatives with major OEMs, software developers, and strategic industry vertical partners.
  • Advocate Chrome’s goal to key participants across the ecosystem, reinforcing Chrome’s value proposition in engaged scenarios.
  • Direct the commercial negotiation and execution of complex distribution, promotion agreements, working closely with Legal and Finance to establish sustainable, high-leverage business terms.
  • Lead the full lifecycle of strategic partnerships, from opportunity assessment, partner identification, and strategy formulation to program design, agreement execution, go-to-market launch, and post-agreement performance management, while managing executive relationships and driving cross-functional alignment.
