What You Will Learn

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX Company, is looking for A, Testing & Automation Engineer - MRO Digital Applications to join Digital Technology (DT) Digital Aftermarket Services team. This individual will be involved in the delivery of developing, enhancing, and implementing software solutions within Pratt & Whitney’s DW2W2C Portfolio, as well as integrations with other enterprise products. This role will support the development of back-end and web-based solutions, troubleshooting of problems related to DW2W2C applications, resolving systems integration and compatibility issues, and supporting the application life cycle Center of Excellence.

What You Will Do *

• The candidate will be responsible for understanding business requirements, translating them into effective test scenarios, ensuring end-to-end application quality, and collaborating closely with business and technical teams.
• Analyze business and functional requirements and convert them into clear, testable scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Design and execute functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify requirement gaps, dependencies, risks, and edge cases early in the SDLC.Create test cases, test plans, test reports, and maintain adequate test coverage.Log, track, validate, and support resolution of defects, including root-cause analysis.
• Perform API testing, SQL/database validation, and data-flow verification across integrated systems.
• Analyze application logs and technical workflows to troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with Business, Application Development, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including refinement, sprint planning, requirement walkthroughs, and release validation.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and QA teams to understand business objectives and requirements.
• Analyze and document business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Convert complex business requirements into clear and testable scenarios.
• Identify dependencies, business risks, process gaps, and edge cases.
• Contribute to QA process improvements, automation, and overall application quality.

Qualifications You Must Have*

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with 7+ years or Masters degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with 5+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance and testing, with strong expertise in functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing, along with solid technical business analysis and SQL/database validation skills

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with Tricentis Tosca or other test automation tools like Cypress, Playwright, Selenium etc.
• Strong experience in functional and end-to-end testing.
• Strong business analysis and requirement analysis skills.
• Excellent understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Strong experience in creating test scenarios, test cases, test plans, and test execution reports.
• Good experience with defect management and root-cause analysis.
• Strong SQL/database testing skills.
• Good understanding of REST APIs and API testing.
• Ability to understand application architecture and technical workflows.
• Experience with API automation and test automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience with tools such as JIRA and Azure DevOps.
