Salary: Up to £22.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

The Meriden Hospital in Coventryis part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.Ā 

We have an opportunity for a Radiographer to join their team of staff in theĀ ImagingĀ department.

This is a bank role working on an ā€œas and when requiredā€ basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

  • Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., general X-rays, theatre, fluoroscopy, mobiles) following referral and imaging protocols.Ā 

  • Ensure high-quality images are produced to support accurate diagnosis, minimising the need for repeat exposures.Ā 

  • Adapt techniques to meet the needs of individual patients, including paediatrics, bariatrics, and patients with limited mobility

  • Provide a safe, dignified, and person-centred service, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable, and reassured throughout their examination.Ā 

  • Monitor patients’ conditions during procedures and respond appropriately to any signs of deterioration.Ā 

  • Ensure equipment is checked, maintained, and used safely and effectively, reporting faults promptly.Ā 

  • Assist in the implementation and use of new imaging technologies, techniques, and digital systems (e.g., PACS, RIS).Ā 

  • Work closely with radiologists, consultants, nurses, porters, and admin teams to coordinate care efficiently and maintain smooth patient pathways.Ā 

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.Ā 

  • HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.Ā 

  • Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment with a minimum of 1 year UK hospital (NHS or private) experience.

  • Good understanding of IR(ME)R, health & safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality requirements.Ā 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach.Ā 

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Postgraduate experience or additional training in a specialist area (e.g., CT, MRI, theatre imaging, mammography) desirable.
