Assistant Human Resource Manager

We are currently seeking an Assistant HR Manager to join our vibrant team. As an Assistant HR Manager, you infuse our HR team with the commitment to foster a positive workplace culture, and an unwavering dedication to the personal and professional growth of our talented workforce.

• Supporting the smooth running of the Human Resources Department, where all areas of responsibility are managed and delivered to the highest levels

• Reviews and scrutinizes employee development, training and succession plans, providing recommendations that will enhance performance and provide added value to the individual and the company

• Compiles the operational staffing schedule / manning guide in co-ordination with the human resource manager

• Is familiar with regulations and talents guidelines issued by regional or corporate administration and ensures that they are applied accordingly.

• Ensures proper job descriptions are available for all functions, continuously adapts them in co-ordination with relevant supervisors to operational requirements. 

• Conducts job application correspondence and sees to due and proper answering and filing of all documents, applications adverts, etc.

• Follow up and initiates yearly performance evaluations at supervisory staff levels.

• Works proactively to maximize the guest service and the team experience, delivering a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution.

• Builds and maintains effective working relationships with all key stakeholders and business partners.

• Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required.

Minimal Qualifications:

• Proven experience in HR with strong problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style.

• Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry.

• Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations.

• Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy.

• Self-confident, creative and proactive, able to prioritize and make effective decisions.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

• 2+ years of work experience in Human Resource, as an assistant human resource manager or human resource officer

• Professional HR certification 

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
