Following Buenos Aires and Miami Beach, Faena New York, will find its home at 500 West 18th Street, overlooking the High Line in a building designed by Bjarke Ingels Group. This latest opening will be synonymous with sophistication, glamour, breathtaking artwork, and cultural trendsetting. This opening will mark the resurgence of luxury nightlife experiences in New York with dynamic food and beverage venues and programming that will make Faena the ultimate destination for the sophisticated traveler to New York.
The Floor Manager at The Living Room is responsible for ensuring seamless nightly operations and elevated guest experiences in a high-energy, entertainment-driven lounge setting. This leadership role requires mastery of flow, guest psychology, and pacing — supporting service, ambiance, and guest safety in collaboration with the bar, host, and security teams.Â
This full time position has an annual salary of $90,000.Â
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Supervise and lead service during all operational hours, maintaining rhythm, energy, and precisionÂ
Manage section flow, table timing, and VIP prioritization in coordination with the MaĂ®tre D’ and HostsÂ
Ensure all team members are executing service with confidence, style, and warmthÂ
Liaise with bar, kitchen, and security teams to ensure nightly alignment and safetyÂ
Greet and engage high-profile, VIP, and returning guests with professionalism and discretionÂ
Resolve guest concerns swiftly, creatively, and in alignment with Faena’s elevated service cultureÂ
Monitor and manage ambiance (music, lighting, scent, room pacing) throughout the eveningÂ
Act as point of escalation for floor-level issues including overcapacity, guest behavior, or service lapsesÂ
Support training and onboarding of all front-of-house staff in service etiquette, menu knowledge, and nightlife protocolsÂ
Lead nightly pre-shift meetings and communicate key updates or programmingÂ
Coach team in-the-moment during service and provide follow-up notes or recognitionÂ
Monitor uniform compliance, team presence, and interdepartmental communicationÂ
Ensure venue is set to standard before doors open, and reset properly at closeÂ
Support with scheduling, timeclock approvals, and performance feedbackÂ
Assist in event execution and service logistics for programming or private functionsÂ
3+ years of leadership experience in a high-end lounge, nightlife, or luxury hospitality settingÂ
Deep understanding of nightlife dynamics, service pacing, and VIP handlingÂ
Confident leader with a polished guest-facing presenceÂ
Familiarity with POS systems, nightlife reservation platforms, and basic event coordinationÂ
Comfortable working evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidaysÂ
