As aStudent Representative you will   

• Facilitateconnection with student program advisor or professor for the Educational Outreach team and Area medical director. This will help ensure the program and offerings are in alignment with school policies. 

• Plan,coordinate andhelpadvertisefour liveevents yearfor your classmates 

• Examples may include lunch & learns,hands onwet labs and social events 

• Encourage classmates to attendthese eventsby deliveringtimely communications via emailand internal posting opportunities   

• Helpensure eventsrun smoothlyto include pre-planning the event,ordering supplies needed, communicating with Education Outreach coordinator ifadditional items needed and marketing the events 

• Provide ideas and input to your Educational Outreach coordinator about the types of events that your classmates will find valuable 

• Attend one monthly 30-minute check-in call withyourEducational OutreachCoordinatorvia Zoom  

• Attend one monthlypersonaldevelopment call with a local Area Medical Director(veterinarian) via Zoom or in person(depending on location) 

• Communicatein a timely manner with yourEducational Outreach Coordinators via email 

• Share information about events, externships,mentorship and job opportunities,four per year 

• Represent Vetco Total Care atyour school’scareer fairs and alumni events

Qualifications  

• 2nd semester or above with high GPA, 3.0 or above 

• Interest in general practice  

• Strong organization and communication skills and the ability to work well with others  

• Interest inmotivating other students toparticipate in learning and social events 

• Cannot hold a conflictingStudent Representative role 

Hourly Rate: $18.65 - $31.83 (depending on location)with total projected earnings of around $2000 during the durations of the school year 

This position is a short-term contract designed to support five (5) onsite events and various marketing outreach initiatives. The posted range represents the good faith hourly rate the Company reasonably expects to pay at the time of hire. 

 
This is a contract role with the possibility to renew each year.

If the regulatory minimum wage exceeds the minimum indicated in the pay range below, the regulatory minimum wage will be the minimum rate applied.
