EHS / Safety Consultant

ERM Iberia is looking to hire an EHS / Safety Consultant to support our Safe & Sustainable Operations (SSO) team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliverEHS and safety audits (internal, third-party, and regulatory compliance) across Iberia and international locations, ensuring high-quality execution aligned with ERM methodologies and client expectations.
• Plan, coordinate, and executemulti-country audit programs, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, and alignment with local regulations and corporate standards.
• Providetechnical leadership in Health & Safety, with a strong focus on:
  • Risk assessment and hazard identification
  • Process safety and industrial safety
  • Contractor safety management
  • High-risk activities and operational controls
• Conductgap assessments and root cause analysis to identify compliance issues and performance improvement opportunities, delivering clear, risk-based and actionable recommendations.
• Support clients in theimplementation and follow-up of corrective action plans, ensuring effective closure of findings and continuous improvement of EHS performance.
• Act asclient-facing lead, managing relationships with multinational clients, facilitating workshops, presenting audit outcomes, and engaging with stakeholders at both site and corporate levels.
• Ensureconsistency and quality of audit deliverables, including:
  • Report review and quality assurance
  • Standardization of outputs across countries
  • Application of internal quality procedures
• Contribute toproposal preparation and business development, including service scoping, technical input, and identification of growth opportunities within existing accounts.
• Collaborate with global ERM teams and subject matter experts to supportcomplex international projects and cross-service integration.
• Mentor and coach junior consultants, providingtechnical guidance, feedback, and on-the-job training, contributing to capability building within the SSO Iberia team.
• Promote a strongsafety culture and continuous improvement mindset, both internally and with clients, acting as a role model in EHS leadership.

Technical Expertise & Core Competencies

• Strong expertise inprocess and industrial safety, including:
  • ATEX
  • Fire safety
  • Machine safety
• Solid experience inEHS compliance and permitting frameworks.
• Proven capabilities inproject management in complex and international environments.
• Experience insafety culture assessment and improvement programs.

Additional Skills & Experience

• Experience intraining, coaching, and facilitation, with strong communication skills.
• Sector experience inmanufacturing, pharma, or chemical industries is highly valued.
• Ability to work inmultinational and multicultural environments.
• Additional languages, particularlyFrench, are considered an asset.
