Operator - Field
1. Equipment Operation:
Â
- Operate and monitor gas turbines, steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), and auxiliary systems according to established procedures and safety protocols.
Â
- Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure operational integrity and optimal performance.
Â
2. Safety and Compliance:
Â
- Follow all health and safety regulations, adhere to company policies, and promote a culture of safety among fellow operators.
Â
- Participate in safety drills and training sessions to maintain a high level of awareness regarding safety practices.
Â
-Support in local isolations and Permit to Work compliance
Â
-Safety Incident reporting
Â
-Work as Emergency Response team member.
3. Monitoring and Reporting:
Â
- Monitor operational parameters using local instruments, control panels and data acquisition systems, ensuring that equipment operates within specified limits.
Â
- Report any anomalies or deviations to the Control Room Operator (CRO) or Shift Supervisor in a timely manner.
Â
4. Start-Up and Shutdown Procedures:
Â
- Assist in the start-up and shutdown of gas turbines, HRSGs, STs and other plant systems, following established operational protocols.
Â
- Execute emergency procedures as necessary in response to alarms or operational disturbances.
Â
5. Coordination with Control Room:
Â
- Collaborate closely with the control room team, communicating real-time operational status and receiving instructions as required.
Â
- Actively participate in defect identification and recording, shift handovers, ensuring that all relevant information about operational conditions is conveyed.
Â
6. Routine Maintenance and Inspection:
Â
- Perform routine maintenance tasks as directed, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment.
Â
- Conduct visual inspections, check fluid levels, and perform minor adjustments to maintain efficient operation.
Â
7. Documentation:
Â
- Maintain accurate records of operational activities, equipment status, and incidents in log sheets, logbooks or computerized systems.
Â
- Provide input for operational reports and participate in analysis of operational data to identify trends or issues.
Â
8. Continuous Improvement:
Â
- Identify and recommend opportunities for improving operational efficiency and reliability.
Â
- Engage in training and development programs to enhance technical skills related to Siemens gas turbines and power plant operations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering is preferred.
Â
- Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in power plant operations, with specific experience in operating gas turbines, preferably Siemens models.

- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of combined cycle power generation, turbine operation, and related systems and technologies.
