Position Summary

We are seeking an Epic Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) Analyst to support healthcare organizations in optimizing their hospital billing and revenue cycle operations. This role focuses on Epic Resolute HB build, support, workflow improvements, system enhancements, issue resolution, and ongoing operational support.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on Epic HB experience, a strong understanding of hospital revenue cycle processes, and the ability to collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical teams to deliver effective solutions that improve billing accuracy, reimbursement, and operational efficiency.

Essential Responsibilities

Epic Resolute HB Support & Optimization

• Support the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Epic Resolute Hospital Billing applications.

• Analyze revenue cycle workflows and identify opportunities for operational improvement.

• Assist with Epic build, testing, and implementation activities.

• Support claims processing, billing workflows, reimbursement initiatives, and workqueue management.

• Investigate and resolve application issues while partnering with operational and technical teams.

• Participate in optimization efforts focused on improving billing accuracy and revenue cycle performance.

System Build, Testing & Change Management

• Perform Epic build and configuration activities following established change control processes.

• Create and maintain documentation including workflow diagrams, testing scripts, and build specifications.

• Participate in integrated testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), upgrades, and implementation activities.

• Troubleshoot system issues and support resolution efforts.

• Manage support tickets and enhancement requests to ensure timely resolution.

Client Engagement & Collaboration

• Partner with operational and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and support project initiatives.

• Participate in client meetings and provide status updates on assigned work.

• Assist with user education and workflow documentation.

• Support implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Active Epic Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) Certification (verification required).

• 1-3 years of Epic Resolute HB experience.

• Experience supporting hospital billing and revenue cycle operations.

• Understanding of:

  • Hospital billing workflows

  • Claims processing

  • Claim edits

  • Denial management

  • Revenue cycle operations

  • Accounts receivable processes

  • Reimbursement workflows

• Experience participating in Epic build, support, testing, or optimization activities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively within project teams.

• Ability to travel approximately 25% (typically one week per month, based on client needs).

Nice to Have Qualifications

• Additional Epic Revenue Cycle certifications

• Experience supporting Epic HB Claims workflows

• Experience with denial prevention initiatives

• Experience with reimbursement optimization efforts

• Experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, or optimization projects

• Consulting or client-facing experience

• Experience working with Revenue Cycle, Patient Financial Services (PFS), Revenue Integrity, or Billing Operations teams
