Location: Torrance, CA
Salary: $87,000-$160,000/yr DOE and Level
Responsibilities
High voltage power supply circuit design.
Testing and troubleshooting of circuits / power supplies.
Guide program management for technical issues and assure successful production.
Supporting customer meetings, milestones (CDR, PDR, MRR ...), guiding the team through those events.
Mentor, develop and train junior engineers.
Actively seek out innovative technologies and oversee new product development to ensure continued industry leadership.
Support new business activity through proposal review and improvements on current designs
Qualifications
Engineering Degree in a related field, EE preferred, with post graduate work a plus.
Work experience designing and/or testing electronic power conditioners or similar devices, with work in the space industry a massive plus. Minimal experience for various levels is defined below:
Level II: requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Level III: requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Level IV: requires a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Understanding and comfort with EE design aspects such circuit design, electric stress analysis, worst case analysis, single event upset and others.
Proficient with circuit design tools (Spice, Altium, and similar).
Capable of reading top-level specifications and translating into electrical design needs.
Experience supporting testing of electrical hardware preferred.
Hands-on engineering experience with PPUs or other high voltage products preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills, utilizing industry-standard root cause corrective action (RCCA) methodologies.
Must possess exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
