Environmental Services Lead

Join Messiah Lifeways as our Environmental Services Lead and help create clean, welcoming, and comfortable spaces for the people who call our community home. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll work alongside Environmental Services and Laundry team members, keep each day moving smoothly, and make a meaningful difference for residents. This role will play an important role in supporting residents, team members, and campus operations through furniture coordination, storage management, and event setups.

Shift: Day (7a-3:30p)
Full-Time
Monday - Friday schedule

What You’ll Do
•    Lead by example while working alongside Environmental Services and Laundry team members.
•    Coordinate daily priorities, workflow, work orders, and coverage needs.
•    Train, coach, and support team members on service, safety, equipment, and department standards.
•    Conduct routine inspections and help maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, and infection prevention.
•    Keep supplies, equipment, linens, and operational records on track.
•    Partner with departments across the community to respond to resident and operational needs.
•    Deliver exceptional service while protecting resident dignity, privacy, and comfort.
•    Support on-call schedule as needed.

Qualifications

•    Candidates must be 18 years of age or older
•    Maintain a professional and positive image of Messiah Lifeways  
•    Team player mentality and approach to their work
•    Self-starter and displays a positive attitude
•    Proactive, clear, and effective communicator with strong customer service skills
•    Strong organizational and time-management skills
•    Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
•    Ability to operate laundry and environmental services equipment safely and efficiently
•    Ability to work independently to complete assignments
•    Must possess basic computer skills. This role interacts with email and the work order management system frequently.
