Summary:
As a Data Engineer, a typical day involves working closely with data systems to develop and maintain efficient data pipelines. The role requires integrating data from various sources and ensuring seamless data flow to support analytics and reporting needs. The professional spends time optimizing data processes, collaborating with team members to address challenges, and contributing to the overall data infrastructure that supports business operations within the banking domain. This position demands a proactive approach to managing data workflows and ensuring data availability for end users.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Document data processes and workflows to maintain clarity and support knowledge sharing.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support in their tasks.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Python Frameworks, Ab Initio.
- Experience in developing and optimizing complex SQL queries to support data warehousing and analytics.
- Strong knowledge of data integration techniques involving APIs, flat files, and cloud storage solutions.
- Hands-on experience with building automated data pipelines using Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy, and PySpark.
- Ability to work with large datasets and ensure data quality through effective data validation and cleansing methods.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and cloud-based data management platforms.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Python Frameworks.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
