The Customer & Commercial Success (C&CS) organization, an organization withinMCAPS, is leading the effort to enable customer success on the Microsoft Cloud by harnessing leading, AI-powered capabilities and human expertise to deliver innovation solutions that accelerate business value, drive operational excellence and nurture long term loyalty. 

Support for Mission Critical (SfMC) is the team Microsoft’s most critical customers rely on when failure is not an option. 

We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) to join the Mission Critical team, working alongside our sr architects on the repeatable intellectual property they deliver to those customers. Your focus is making that IP better: integrating AI so each delivery takes less effort, sharpening the risks it exposes, and making what the customer receives clearer and more useful. The workspans reliability and operational readiness, AIbehavior drift and integrity, operational controls, consumption and unit cost, and output quality. During your ramp, you are not accountable for customer delivery; your customer exposure is structured observation alongside sr architects, which is how you build toward customer readiness. 

This opportunity will allow you to develop deep hands-on skills in AI and Azure engineering, learn how repeatable IP is designed,tested and shipped to a global delivery team, and build the technical judgment that leads to Mission Critical customer work. This role is 100% onsite at a Microsoft office.

With direct coaching and guidance from more experienced peers: 

• Improve the repeatable IP our architects alreadydeliver: integrate AI so each delivery takes less effort, sharpen the risks it exposes, and make the customer-facing output clearer and more actionable. 

• Turn field feedback into improvements: reproduce the reported problem in a lab, make the correction, write the check that proves it is fixed, and record what changed and why. 

• Build and test the automation, queries, prompts,agents and templates that let a deliverable be executed consistently by many architects rather than rebuilt each time. 

• Run the defined analysis behind a deliverable, such asbehavior drift and integrity baselines, consumption and unit cost, or output quality scoring,validate the result against the documented method, and escalate anything that looks wrong. 

• Write the material that makes IP usable by someone else: delivery guides, runbooks, worked examples, test data and acceptance checks. 

• Act as customer zero for our own AI tooling and agents, stress-testing them internally before they are used in any customer environment, and reporting what breaks. 

• Build Mission Critical, Azure and AI platform depth through structured onboarding, accreditation,teach backs and supervised observation of sr architect delivery, incorporating coaching feedback as you progress toward customer readiness. 

• Builds familiarity around how to execute work in compliance with industry and Microsoft guidelines and procedures 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field OR equivalent experience. 

Preferred Qualifications  

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field OR equivalent experience 

• Technology Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications) 

• Hands-on experience in AI technologies
