Position Summary

The Director of Enterprise Data & Analytics leads Alivia Care's enterprise data, business intelligence, and decision support function. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this role develops and executes the analytics roadmap, guides the enterprise data platform and analytical architecture in partnership with Information Technology, and establishes trusted, accessible information to support clinical, operational, financial, and strategic decisions across the organization.

Working with leaders who own their measures and results, the Director establishes common definitions, governance, quality controls, and executive reporting across hospice, palliative and supportive care, PedsCare, PACE, Alivia Care Solutions, the Foundation, and other enterprise functions. This is a hands-on leadership role that builds analytical capabilities, develops teams, and advances the organization from fragmented reporting to integrated dashboards, predictive analytics, and responsible AI-enabled decision support.

Essential Functions

  • Guide the architecture, implementation, and evolution of a scalable enterprise analytics platform, including data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and analytical delivery, in partnership with IT architecture, infrastructure, integration teams, and implementation partners.
  • Coordinate integration of clinical, operational, financial, workforce, and external data from multiple EHRs and enterprise systems; establish requirements for data availability, reliability, timeliness, and historical continuity.
  • Lead enterprise business intelligence delivery, including dashboards, scorecards, recurring reporting, self-service analytics, and validated semantic models or certified datasets.
  • Design and deploy an enterprise strategic measurement framework that translates strategic priorities and annual goals into clear KPIs, targets, thresholds, and accountable business owners.

  • Establish and coordinate enterprise data governance practices, including data stewardship, quality, lineage, documentation, access standards, issue resolution, and regulatory and privacy controls, in partnership with designated business owners, Information Security, and Compliance.
  • Implement data validation and reconciliation practices to ensure reporting is accurate and traceable to source systems, particularly during EHR conversions, migrations, and platform changes.
  • Partner with Information Technology, Clinical Informatics, and enterprise application teams on patient identity management and appropriate use of Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) capabilities, including patient matching, reconciliation, and identity issue resolution, to support reliable data integration, reporting, and longitudinal analytics across EHRs, programs, and care settings.
  • Develop executive and Board of Directors scorecards and deliver clear variance, root-cause, trend, and scenario analysis that explains implications and supports decisions.
  • Provide finished analysis and actionable recommendations on service-line and program performance, clinical quality, referral conversion, census, patient utilization, workforce productivity, financial sustainability, and growth.
  • Establish a consistent process for analytics intake, prioritization, requirements, development, testing, deployment, support, and measurement of business value.
  • Identify, consolidate, and retire redundant, conflicting, and manually maintained reports as enterprise solutions become available.
  • Build data literacy and adoption by coaching executives and managers in interpreting measures and using analytics in routine operating decisions.
  • Develop a practical roadmap for predictive and prescriptive analytics; partner in responsible AI initiatives by providing trustworthy, governed analytical data and validating performance and business value.
  • Build, lead, mentor, and develop the Enterprise Data & Analytics team and coordinate matrixed analytical resources across Finance, Quality and Compliance, and Human Resources.
  • Manage analytics vendors and implementation partners; recommend staffing, skills, tools, and investments; monitor progress, risks, budgets, and deliverables with the CIO.
