Job Title: Multimedia Content Producer
Location: New York City, NY
Duration: 6 Months
Type: Full-Time, Contract
Description:
A major financial services company is seeking a Multimedia Content Producer to support ongoing video, podcast, photography, and digital content initiatives. As part of a small multimedia team, you will work closely with the content lead across the full production process, from recording and shooting through editing and final delivery. Editing will make up the majority of the day-to-day work, so the ideal candidate is a strong editor who can turn raw footage and audio into polished, engaging content with minimal oversight and often on quick timelines. At the same time, this is not a narrowly defined editing role. You should be comfortable stepping behind a camera, recording a podcast, photographing an event, working with on-camera talent, or helping solve whatever production need arises. The right candidate brings strong technical fundamentals, creative instincts, sound judgment, and a collaborative attitude. Over time, you will be trained across the broader multimedia operation with the goal of independently handling productions and providing coverage when the content lead is unavailable.
Top 5-7 Skills:
Adobe Premiere Pro and professional editing fundamentals (pacing, audio, color correction, multicam workflows, delivery)
Editing podcasts and dialogue-driven content
Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom)
Camera systems, lighting, audio, and video production techniques
Creative instincts and storytelling ability within a structured brand environment
Strong organization, reliability, attention to detail, and comfort with the administrative side of production
Curiosity about AI, emerging production technology, and evolving social and digital content trends
Requirements for the role:
Professional experience in multimedia production, video editing, journalism, or a related field, with a strong portfolio or reel
Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and professional editing fundamentals including pacing, audio, color correction, multicam workflows, and delivery
Experience editing podcasts and dialogue-driven content
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Photoshop, and Lightroom
Hands-on knowledge of camera systems, lighting, audio, and video production techniques
Strong creative instincts and storytelling ability within a structured brand environment
Professional and personable presence when working with stakeholders and on-camera talent
Ability to work quickly and independently while maintaining a high standard of quality
Strong organization, reliability, attention to detail, and comfort with the administrative side of production
Curiosity about AI, emerging production technology, and evolving social and digital content trends
Experience in a corporate, agency, newsroom, or similarly structured environment is a plus
Edit short- and long-form video including interviews, webinars, social content, event recaps, and other recurring multimedia projects
Record and edit podcasts and video podcasts, including audio cleanup, sequencing, mixing, and final delivery
Apply creative judgment to pacing, framing, sound, graphics, and storytelling while maintaining brand standards
Support and independently manage video productions including camera, lighting, audio, setup, and working with on-camera talent
Provide occasional photography and video coverage for headshots, events, interviews, and other business needs
Manage production logistics including job numbers, Wrike forms, project organization, file management, and version control
Work efficiently on quick-turn projects and respond professionally to stakeholder feedback and revisions
Stay current on social and digital content trends and apply relevant best practices to content editing and packaging
Actively explore AI and emerging creative tools that can improve editing, production, and workflow efficiency
Bring ideas and creative recommendations while working within established content strategy, business objectives, and brand standards
Education and Experience:
Professional experience in multimedia production, video editing, journalism, or a related field
Or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
