Location: Austin, TX (Remote Considered)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect with strong expertise in cloud services, cloud infrastructure, enterprise architecture, and technology consulting. The ideal candidate will have extensive IT experience and the ability to lead solution design and delivery across the full project lifecycle, from initial scoping and proposal development through implementation and ongoing operations.

This role requires strong architectural capabilities, consulting expertise, stakeholder management, and leadership skills to develop innovative cloud solutions and maximize business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or support client engagements across the complete project lifecycle, from solution proposals and business justification through design, build, delivery, and operations.

• Act as a primary or secondary client contact for consulting and technology development opportunities.

• Develop, own, and shape next-generation cloud and data service solutions.

• Drive cloud innovation and identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies.

• Support cloud infrastructure projects in an architectural capacity.

• Develop technical solutions, estimates, and pricing proposals to support business development and demand generation.

• Provide solution consulting and transformation thought leadership.

• Own solution architecture and technical solution design for client opportunities.

• Support program and project execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives and architectural standards.

• Conduct client workshops and stakeholder meetings to understand requirements and develop effective solutions.

• Execute proofs of concept (POCs), where required, to validate proposed architectures.

• Establish architectural governance and proactively manage delivery risks and technical issues.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cloud services, with broad experience across IT services and technology.

• Strong expertise in business and technology consulting.

• Excellent enterprise architecture and solution design skills.

• Strong domain knowledge of cloud infrastructure solutions, particularly AWS and Microsoft Azure.

• Experience designing and applying cloud architecture methodologies.

• Experience with application and infrastructure management and monitoring tools.

• Good working knowledge of IT processes, procedures, and frameworks such as ITIL.

• Ability to conduct client workshops, lead technical discussions, and develop customer-focused solutions.

• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

• Understanding of the full enterprise project lifecycle, from solution shaping through implementation and ongoing operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional cloud architecture certification in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Enterprise architecture certification, such as TOGAF.

• Experience implementing architectural governance and managing technical risks throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Familiarity with enterprise software development practices, including configuration management, release management, source control, version control, monitoring, and instrumentation.

• Experience in consulting or technology service-provider environments.

• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and other software development methodologies.

• Team leadership and program or project management experience.

• Experience with database technologies such as Oracle and MySQL; knowledge of NoSQL and MongoDB is preferred.

• Experience with ISO 27001/27002 standards or related certifications.

• Experience with Amazon Redshift, data warehousing, and data warehouse solution design or implementation.

• Extensive automation experience using Chef or Puppet.

• DevOps experience.

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent degree-level education is highly desirable.
