UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Project Governance Analyst supports the effective governance, oversight and performance management of the project portfolio. The role establishes consistent governance standards, tracks project status and delivery risks, and produces decision-ready reporting for senior management. Working across project teams, technology stakeholders and external partners, the analyst converts portfolio data into clear insights, challenges weak or inconsistent submissions, and drives timely closure of governance actions.

  • Coordinate Project Governance activities across the portfolio, including governance calendars, deliverables, review checkpoints and action tracking.
  • Track project status, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and decisions; identify exceptions and escalate material delivery or control concerns to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Produce timely, accurate and decision-focused weekly, monthly and quarterly portfolio reports for senior leadership and governance forums.
  • Coordinate Quarterly Partner Reviews, including performance analysis, issue themes, improvement actions, supporting evidence and meeting materials.
  • Prepare management reporting covering hiring plans, demand and capacity, partner performance, developer productivity and outcomes, portfolio KPIs, RFP status, supplier distribution, subcontractor usage and technology governance metrics.
  • Define and maintain standardized project governance metrics, report definitions, data sources, controls and reporting templates across programmes and projects.
  • Use Jira, Confluence, Power BI, Excel and related tools to consolidate data, automate recurring reports and dashboards, and improve traceability from source information to management reporting.
  • Maintain the organization chart and leadership documentation, ensuring structure, reporting lines, governance records and reference materials remain current and accessible.
  • Partner with project managers, programme leads, finance, procurement, risk and technology teams to improve data quality, resolve reporting gaps and reinforce compliance with project governance standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification in Business, Information Systems, Technology, Project Management, Finance or a related discipline, with at least 4–6 years of relevant experience in project governance, portfolio management, PMO or management reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in project status tracking, governance reviews, portfolio reporting, action management and escalation within a complex banking, financial services or technology environment.
  • Strong understanding of project governance disciplines, including stage gates, delivery assurance, risk and issue management, dependency tracking, management actions and governance forum requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with practical experience using Jira, Confluence and Power BI or similar reporting and visualization tools.
  • Ability to analyze portfolio information, identify exceptions and emerging trends, reconcile inconsistent data, and convert findings into concise management insights and clear recommendations.
  • Experience developing standardized KPIs, dashboards, governance packs and automated reporting processes with appropriate data quality and control checks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare executive-ready materials and engage confidently with senior stakeholders, project teams and external partners.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgement and the confidence to challenge incomplete or inconsistent submissions while maintaining constructive stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple reporting cycles and governance deadlines independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
