Qualifications · Applicant should have at least a Master’s degree in English (or closely related discipline) or a Master’s degree and 18 hours of ENG coursework · Academic qualifications commensurate with accreditation criteria · Established teaching abilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, and knowledge of subject area · Ability to work harmoniously with faculty, staff, administration, and students · Adaptability to change and innovation · Faculty members report to and are accountable to the Department Chair, College Dean, any local Administrative Dean when serving at an Extension Site, and the Provost for Academics · Documented professional experience · Experience teaching in an online format preferred · Ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds · Commitment to collaboration and program development Faith Commitment · Personal faith consistent with Nelson University’s evangelical Christian mission · Active participation in a local church community; Assemblies of God affiliation preferred Compensation Compensation is determined according to established pay scales and is based on credentials and teaching assignments.
